The Clubman has a thermo fan with a switch on the dash..
I want to put the adjustable DC switch under the bonnet so the missus doesn't have to worry about watching the gauge.
If I cut into the power wire to the thermo...leave the dash switch on and just run a wire into and out of the switch can anyone see any dramas?
The DC switch has 2 connectors on the back.."H" and "C"....and a body earth pin as well...no idea what H & C stand for...

I would wire up the switch separately.

As said ^, the switch is accidently moved, no cooling.

Are you putting the mechanical or electronic switch in?

The connectors on the mechanical DC switch, guessing that there are two there for two fans, and of course only one earth connection, though basically they are just terminals separated by a switch, polarity isnt important. Im not sure of the current rating of the switch, but id be using the switch to trigger relays rather than passing the full load through the switch.

Use the 12V ignition wire from the coil to go straight to the switch then to a relay, then the fans wont run when the car is off.
