Started doing some work on the doors, not much but at least it's a start.

Started laying the bog on and sanding it off, I had forgotten how much I hate body work.

Got the doors in primer/filler and rebuilt all the door hinges. Hopefully have them in colour by the end of the week.

Started painting the doors to day, after the second coat on the inside i realised i had forgotten to  redo the seam sealer so go to use the seam sealer i brought last week to find it out of date and has gone hard.

Luckily i had a spare tube i brought years ago that was still ok.

 

So i seam sealed the doors and painted the door hinges, should finish painting the doors tomorrow.

Also brought a new air compressor as the old one is about 25 years old and starting to trip the breaker and get hot.

 

This is my super dodgy water trap setup. The two compressors linked up, the old one just for a backup, air coiled up through the plastic tub full of ice and water then through two filfers and 2 water traps then into the blue tank then through the last filter and filter/regulator.

Car is now all painted after having to put a few more coats over the whole car because the last tin of paint turned out a slightly different shade to the first 2.
 
I did take it back and they tried to colour match it, they said they done their best, but was still not the same so it was easier to put a few coats over the whole car then deal with them again.

 The Better Auto Rubber kit that i got is rubbish, the boot seal does not seal, you have to slam the doors to shut them.

The window seals are hard and sound like they are scratching the glass when you wind them up and down, the seals are short

one one end on most of them, the metal clips that hold them into the doors keep poping out and the metal strip is

sticking out of the rubber.

Sorted out the front seats, VN HSV seats, the frames needed a clean up and some cracks repaired.
