The NZ LJ wagon has got me thinking about all the other cars that have been strung together.

I don't keep all the photos that have been posted here over the years, and the search doesn't work like it should, so:

Who has pics of all the interesting toranas you don't see every day - the wagons, the utes, the vans, convertibles and the LX coupe and LJ hatch??

is that coupe a photoshop?

remember that lj(i think) panelvan thing, was painted multi coloured and seemed to be for sale forever. i will see if i can hunt a pic of it.

i reckon it could have been nice if they didnt go so crazy with it, left the front standard lc, windowless and bit more of an even roof and no hg wheel arches.

even a single colour paintjob would work in its favour!

Yeah the grill is a killer. Nothing destroys a car like late 70s/early 80s American styling!

No pictures because that would involve stealing some but hiding down here that I know of we have a Torana ute and a LH coupe being built with hatch doors grafted onto a 4 door that I am quite taken with

I really like the blue full chassis UC with the one piece LX front end, and the HB convertible, and the LJ panno. Most of them are still 'salvageable' lol

My mates uncle built that HB convertible when he came home drunk one night, off came the roof!
He did the body work on my LH.
Very cool car

I wish they made the LC/LJ sedans in that shape, and have the 2doors as their actual shape!
