sorry if this sounds stupid but is valencia a solid colour or a metallic colour? ive never seen it in the flesh before?

99.9% sure its a solid colour mate, Safron was the orange metallic in LH's

i thought it was but i was looking at colours and pictures of cars on the holden torana .com site for paint codes and the pictures it shows there look like its a metalic and they called it valencia gold???

Hi Rollo
As per the Holden Colour chart 1978;
Valencia Orange is a solid colour, and
Contessa Gold is a metallic colour.
Orchid was never an LX Colour. It was LJ/LH.
Here is a Contessa Gold Hatch..

I would like to see a sticky of all the paint charts for the Toranas, in Hires (300dpi), that is from '69 - '80.
I have the following, in different forms;
Feb 1972 (quality not so good),
Mar 1973 (Very good quality scan)
Jan 1974 (Smallish type scan. Could be better)
Jul 1976 (I have original copy),
Sep 1977 (Good quality Scan)
Feb 1978 (Original copy) This one and the Sep 1977 are the same colours
I am happy to rescan the original that I have and post em up!
Can anyone else add to this?

Hi, i know this may be a little late to start asking about this, but does anyone have a picture of a Antelope SS torana? and also how common was the Antelope colour on the toranas? ALL HELP APPRECIATED

it doesn't look like that at the moment :-(.
It should be going into the Panel Beaters/ Spray Painters very soon to be finished off..
I am working towards Toranafest 2013 for it's debut!
