Is this Roadworthy? It flexes a little if you push it...

I think the panel damage should buff out too lol.

it will be laminated, thats why you can push it......................as far as being legal..............................NO ,unless you are taking it straight to the repairer it obstructs the vision to much

Tough luck Matt, that is harsh. I'm just glad to hear you got at least 2 cars back in the shed in time. Far out, just imagine if you'd gone down to the shops or something when it hit, and all the cars got done.

Sounds like The Basin got hit hard too - I've had reports from friends and family - lots of dented cars, lots of smashed laserlight & skylights, lots of dented colorbond, and smashed tiles everywhere.

I know of a couple of very nice Torries that were out cruising in that storm - luckily they didn't cop the hail.

Here in Kilsyth - not a single piece of hail, just stacks of wet stuff.

Thats good to know!

There is a sponsor of my Car Club who i'll head to, apparently they are great. So i'll probably aim to head there. I would really love for it just to get fixed. Cos as handy as the pay out would be, I would prefer to just keep the beast!

Yeah Brett, I was going to ask if your car copped it. Cos i know they live outside! What about your olds? FTG got smashed as well. You should see the Holden Dealer down there!

I will be pushing to get the screen fixed ASAP! I am 'in the que' but i might have to push my way to the top! you can all see it at the dyno day next week! LOL In its golf ball glory!

My parents were actually at my house when it hit... I haven't heard back from them yet since yesterday, so assuming all was ok there.

Man - I didn't think about car dealers and car yards - imagine seeing a whole car yard of damage, that's just unreal.

Will catch up at the dyno day on Saturday and check out your car then. Fingers crossed you can get the screen fixed ASAP. Boom time for mobile windscreen dudes!

Is this like the Yellow Pages ad? Someone's windscreen breaks - they call Windscreens O'Brien - who are on the phone to a roofer because their roof collapsed.. then the roofer is on the phone to someone else.... etc etc...!! LOL.

Got 'absolutely trashed' and now he's going to strip it down and give it a full respray, replace the broken mirrors, grill, some panels etc. What a bugger

My wife drives a 1992 LS400 lexus and her and her girlfriend went to knox city with the 2 4 month old babies to catch up for coffee. They parhed outside. The Lexus copped a broken rear window and some water damage but not much and her friends 2010 Ml350 $wd is rooted. They were parked along side each other..The dints in the merc looked like someone took to it with a base ball bat.

Watching the news yesterday...... There was a new car dealership that was supposed to open today.
All the cars were destroyed. Owner says, "We might have to turn our grand opening into a hail sale instead".

Pretty sure that was the Toyota Dealer just down the road! It's undergone massive reno's! Ironic too, because it use to flood everytime there was a little bit of rain! LOL!

Chatting to a few people, looks like my car might be ok. Might end up with some fresh paint!

Sorry to hear about your car Matt, glad to hear your insured.

I have a couple of mates in Rowville, one who has a fairly new Magna who has no insurance (he lost his licence for 12 months so cancelled his insurance) and another with a 90s Corolla with only 3rd party. Both cars are screwed.

My housemate works for a certain car dealership in Ferntree Gully installing accessories. He told me he spent the whole day today vaccuming glass out of cars...

Bugger, sorry to see so much damage.

I gave 4 pissed American dudes a lift once, turns out they were over here for 3 months purely to fix cars from hail damage because there were so many...

I'll bet ANY money that Adelaide car yards will start to be very full in the next couple of months. Was looking for a VS a while ago and at least half had evidence of hail damage that was fixed- ex Melbourne cars.
