Hey,
I've finally bought a trolley jack and just realised i've never jacked up a torana before with one (i've been using the bumper jack for the last 10 years...) I'm guessing the safest place is just straight under the centre of the diff?
Cheers

Best point to jack up rear of LH/LX?

Centre of diff is pretty good unless you have a drop tank.
I found out I could roll the trolley jack in from the front (and still put it under the centre), and use it in one of the spaces for the mufflers. I have a 6 - so 1 exhaust - soon to be 2 though.
If you want to pick the body up, not the diff, then there are some strong sections infront of the rear tyres. Have a pook around under there, you'll find a spot.
Otherwise get yourself a scissor type jack, they fit more places, but can be harder to wind than the trolley.

Yeah centre of the diff works for me. You'll wanna chock it if you do the diff centre though.

Never done that with a front spoiler... Might just have to go for the chassis rails/rear end of the crossmember because you won't be able to get it up front I imagine. I try and jack the lower arms on the front end but if the car is low you need a kinda low jack.

Ah, not a problem mate.
The old standard height supercheapo trolley jack slides right under my front spoiler, and I have lowered 6cyl kings springs up front. Put it staight under the k-frame.
Just dont flog the spoiler as your lifting it and all is sweet!
TFE!

sounds like you might wanna invest in a set of stands mate, once you have it up in the air sit the chassis rail on the stands, i have had mine air bourne now for about 4-5mths on stands and its all good, as for jacking the front of the car try and jack on the K Frame as Carmelo said and if your worried about getting it scratched put a piece of thin rubber or a good think rag and it should be fine

DEFINATELY get stands! Never trust a jack.
I always jack under the diff then lower it onto stands.
The front, under the crossmember.
Except for the day when I had a flat front tyre and there was NO way I could get it under even with a guard-lift from a neighbour. So I used a brick on top of the jack and under a chassis rail, put a stand under the rail, THEN went under the crossmember.
If your going to keep your trolley jack in the boot, then secure it with an occy or ratchet strap so it doesn't go rolling across your boot floor and dent (outwards) a guard.
