I challenge you to putting the k_frame into the car without swearing once.........
That or flap your arms really fast and fly to the moon, your choice.

Hopefully my hoist should make it easier to bolt the k-frame in.
Meanwhile i started to asemble my engine today, got the crank and pistons in, it was a pretty good afternoon.

Also had a box of goodies arrive from rare spares as well.

My painter (Dad) gets back from holidays tomorrow so we should see some more progress in that area soon.
The car won't be going anywhere for paint, we will be doing it in my shed.

Neat trick to putting the K frame in without scratching is get a large tie down ratchet stap and pull the two out riggers in a touch, have a couple of paint scrapers wich you fit in next to the bushes to help slide in over them. Best to have a mate with you to ballance and jack in place.

Cam is a crow hydraulic. From memory lift is about 496 and duration about 286.
Comp should be about 9.7 according to COME.

We made a start on the 2K HI-build undercoat today, we only did the nosecone, guards, bonnet, and bumper bars.
Dad likes to wet rub the hi-build within 24 hours as it has a tendency to go as hard as concrete if you leave it too long and takes an eternety to rub back.

Posted Image

This afternoon we rubbed the areas we undercoated in the morning.

Hopefully some more tomorrow.

do a great job, but a bucket of water and a sponge would be better than waisting all that water.
no offence but there is a sh#t load on the floor.

Haven't given an update in a couple of weeks so here goes.
I've been busy powdercoating numerous bits and pieces.
Dad has the car almost finished with hi-build primer and rubbed back. Only the roof and rear panel to go.

Posted Image

I have the paint here so if he doesn't go away over the easter break we will hopefully have it painted by Monday.

Among numerous fiddly bits i have done i have prepped the fuel tank. I treated the inside with KBS fuel tank sealer, soldered some AN fittings on where required and painted the outside.

Posted Image

And finally my door trims arrived from Cools today, excellent job, couldn't be happier with them.

Posted Image

Hopefully i will have a colour update by the end of the long weekend.
