Valencia is the best orange
A member here has a lovely A9X hatch in that colour

Hi Dattoman,
You stated there were only two Valencia A9X Hatches left..... I guess the missing one is the one I purchased new from Lawrence motors in Rockhampton in 1978. It had a hard life but was used with great "enthusiasm" by me for four years before selling to an 18 year old. I would dearly love to know what became of this car, which would be easily identified by it's modifications i.e. sb. Chev, toploader etc. (yeah! stupid, but at the time it was just a car) Anyone with any info...... I would be really love to hear.

There were 3 hatches made and all had 18V (black/slat) interior according to my records.

This is based on published information from Eric Belair�s book, so no secret stuff here.
By the way valencia is the best orange of any that I have seen.

All three exist, the third one is in NSW, I met the owner, just haven't seen the car yet.

I was told mine was re-sold to Cairns in the early eighties but no one seems to know if this is correct, or where it went after that.
Somebody would have to have some idea. Had 14x8 and 14x10 with original GTS wheel centres, the original bonnet hole enlarged for carb and aircleaner clearance, spare wheel recess removed for fuel tank, lots of other modifications. I'm sure if it still exists the owner would like to fill in some of the gaps,
