MY VL COMMODORE PROJECT

rb30 - soon to be turb0
vl turbo diff with rear disc brakes

after getting the car home we put in new
struts and lowerd pedder springs
slotted and drilled disc brakes
nolathane bushes n new ball joints
new rear axle seals n bearings
got a rwc and rego
painted blackouts around windows
painted black tail light garnish
tinted tail lights

i picked up a calais front end
calais glove box
calais colson and back seat
calais full instrument dash

future mods
new paint job in a better colour
finish turning it into a calais replica
turbo kid
better wheels

im not a fan of the colour at all its getting repainted very soon wen i can be stuffed sanding it
the vls are a good car i miss my old calais turbo so im building a better one

i might of missed it but what colour where u thinking of painting it! are u gonna rebuild the motor with Forgies etc to handle good boost

Its an improvement over the R31

Get a good looking, full, matching body kit. And don't get a closed door paint job, do it right. They can look very clean and sleek or very rough and bogan.

Red one looks mental and goes even better!!

Really like the VL calais shape, just needs an injected 8, personal prefrence.

Ahh the VL's.. after the torana, my favorite car.

Had a VL for my first car, loved it.. unfortunately this happened to it... less than 24hours of having my license. went hard for the first 24 hours tho!!! :3gears:

if you go the 8cly route then good luck getting the trans to fit
personally i hate these frocking things but if you do convert to an 8 be aware that a trimatic will not fit in a 6cly trans tunnel
a turbo 350 fits i,ve been told
but like i stated
i don't really care for vl's

We got a VLT Calais for my mates missus tonight i believe his old man to be a forum member lucky bugger has about 10 torries!
anyway gotta love the RB30's keep us updated
