I bought mine in 1991 , i think it was from a bloke named Toby in Wattle Grove (could be wrong as its a long time ago now).

Same paint and interior numbers as above and the compliance plate is dated 7/71 , body number starts ALC 333___ which i believe indicates it was built in Adelaide.

Unfortunately it doesn't have it's original engine or gearbox.

I am reasonably sure i have seen another Estoril Bronze GTR in Cannington quite some time ago, it had an XU1 style muffler.

Hi Arron

The ALC prefix on the chassis number tells us it was the initial ADR edition for the LC Torana chassis.

It is the suffix on the chassis number that states which body plant built the chassis/body shell. HB, LC, LJ & TA Torana will be suffixed with either an A for Adelaide or B for Brisbane.

Ok , thanks . It has A as the last character of the Body No.

I should put it back togther again and get it Rego'd , the last time the engine ran it was on leaded petrol.

It could have been , it was a little rough when i bought it (think it had been run into a stump) and had the rego UYO443.

I drove it back to his house the following week to sort something with the rego papers , he was surprised to see it running.

Found the original transfer papers , was Toby and it was in Darlington on 11/06/90
