Firstly.... Sorry for the slow reply! Talk about BUSY!

Anyway!
I'm delighted to say, that other than giving me nightmares as the deadline was fast approaching, You have all stepped up and done us proud!
We've not only got enough to run the day, but we've beaten entrant numbers from last year because i think we're going to have 1 or 2 more funds clearing early next week!

So I've got to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for supporting the event!

I'm in the process of getting my SL/R ready to race, one point that was drawn to my attention, tailshaft loops. Will i need one to race? I've been told if your car runs on slick tyres you have to have one fitted. I'll be running on MT ET Street Radials, do they count as a slick? I'm only asking as i don't want to turn up on the day & be told i can't race.

Gday Matt,

ET Street Radials i dont think count as a full slick.

I run the radials, (but i DO have a loop!) it has never been inspected at the track.

If youve got the time i think it would be a good thing to install, it's peace of mind for you too i think!

I think that if you use any type of slick, you need a loop. I always get asked in scrutineering but few ever check, but its good piece of mind to have one.

Unfortunately my mate with the Group C car has pulled out as he is racing at Morgan Park QLD a couple of weeks later.

The race mechanics have convinced him its too risky to put the driveline under the stresses of drag racing. Bummer as I was looking forward to seeing how it went.

He'll be racing at Morgan Park 24/25/26th July for the Queensland Historic Racing and Regularity Trials.

Damn! This is next week!!!!

Better put my planning hat on and see if i can make it!! My engine is currently living in Vineyard.... Which aint far from the track!

Now, is this on the Saturday? Do i feel like driving up on Friday Night? Watching racing all day, then driving back sunday? LOL!! Looooooong bloody weekend.
