Hey Guys,

Was an awesome day - Here are some 1800x1200 samples form our images.

I have only looked through the images from two (still have another two to go..) - so here is a quick sample...

Apologies for the quick and nasty resizing quality - It's late and I just wanted to get some samples up before I went to sleep, have another long day tomorrow...

First i must say what a great day! I also want to say a big thanks to Tiny for organising it, i wasn't sure about bringing my car & if it weren't for the words of encouragement i recieved from him & unclefestal34s i probably wouldn't have. Two genuine blokes i have the utmost respect & admiration for. In saying that though, everyone out there i met & spoke to were genuine & friendly making for a relaxed & enjoyable day, i felt out of place a little with my rough old LH in the company of so many tough & great looking cars but no one made me feel unwelcome. Thanks to all who attended & made this day what it was. Cheers Matt

Matt never judge a car as what it looks like cause that car is an animal mate, wish my clunka went as strong as yours did yesterday.

cheers Keith

Awesome job Southo. Check your PM's.

Congrats to all those that said they would show up, and did. I'm sure Tiny appreciates it as the event organiser.

G'day guys!

Firstly I need to thank Simone for helping me out for a very long tome leading up to these events, if it wasnt for her love and support I could do none of this!!

Secondly, to everyone who committed their time, effort and of course entry fee to come and race I thank you!! Without your support these days cannot happen!

Thank you to the members who also invited their mates along to race especially when numbers looked a bit low!!
The staff at WSID who did a wonderful job to make the day happen safely, and with no fuss! We had some racers pushing the rules with their times and I think WSID staff did as much as possible to ensure everyone has fun and lots of racing within the rules!

I'm just starting to get over the day so thanks again to you all and for the kind words, I'm sure there will be more events and I look forward to catching up with you at the track again soon!

And last but very not least a have to say a HUGE thanks to wayne (2ELCS) who very kindly came to my house to rake my gear to and from the track, helped me set the car up along with the two craigs and everyone who lent a hand.

Thanks again :spoton:

yes when its finished it will be one tough torana in looks and performance 11.9 first run what a weapon.is a list going to be put together of everyones times in order from fastest to slowest.and fastest car to slowest car in order.it would be interesting record for next time so we could all see any changes.do wsid let you access their info to make it easy?or do we all have to give our times.anyone?

I can actually ask John Henman for a copy of the compulink data but I don't know how easy it would be to correlate!! Also it's all based on racer number so it's a bit hard too!

I'll see what we can do toward that idea though.

Maybe if we start a thread with just yor best times posted off the slip then it might be easy to collect.

I think Tiny and Simmo deserve a BIG pat on the back and alot of gratitude from everyone that raced and went along to watch! was a great day, and some very tough cars!

That yellow rotor was an animal to say the least, I hate the bloody things, but thats got to be a 9 second car, he was backing off at half track and still pushing the limits! haha.

Great to catch up with everyone, I heard Lees last run was a good one!

Hi guys,

had a couple of questions about the Photos and Video, so rather than answerimg them all via emai/PM, I'll post them here for the benefit of everyone

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Q. Will you put all the images on-line
All the photos will be eventually put up on-line - same as last year - See http://www.motorspor...ays/GMH-Torana/
there are over 6,000 images to go through from yesterday to sort into car order.
I have not got the images from the other photographer yet either, so I will wait until I have all images before I start uploading them all...
I will keep puting some more examples up though in the next few days, so keep checking back..

Q. Will my images I bought be watermarked or low res
No, You get the original images, straight from the camera, No watermark, Full resolution so you can print or copy them as you like.
The only request we have is that if you use them commercially, you credit the photographer/s

Q. When will the video be available
The video will be ready in about 2-3 weeks after it is edited, mastered and then duplicated etc, so the people that entered and paid for the Video/Photos should receive them all in about 3-4 weeks at this stage.
I will also need to get all the names and addresses so I know where to send them so will work out with TINY how this will happen.

Q. I did not enter my car, can I buy the Video
Yep, sure - price will be $25.00 incl. postage, we will let you know when these become avaialble (after the pre-orders have been filled)

Cheers
Jason

In the end it was myself against the yellow HQ tonner (sorry didnt catch your name). I believe it was Rob (SS Hatchback) who finished in 3rd. I dialled in at 15.17 and ran 15.164, whereas the tonner dialled in at 11.09 and ran 11.097 and took out the comp.
Was a great event, and I do apologise for holding everyone up as some photos were being taken lol

Yep i believe it was me who was third after i received word from Tiny when the day was over as i left pretty much after that run. Low on fuel and I had family with me that needed to be at the airport so we all left together ..

Also thanks to Wayne (2elcs) for helping make the day run smoothly, hopefully next year you will have the green machine out there :spoton:

Your dad knocked me out second round. He was telling me that all he had to do was beat me by an inch. Which he did. Cheeky old bugger.
