That VIN relates to a 2 door S Model that was completed in Brisbane on 22/1/1974 making it one of the last LJ Toranas. It was sold by Gosford Motors NSW during Feb '74. There is no engine number listed but it was a 2850cc (173) 6 cylinder and came fitted with a 3 speed manual transmission, drum brakes and somewhat unusually a 3.36:1 limited slip diff. The colour was originally Covert Metallic with Glacier White top and the trim was Chestnut vinyl.
Despite listing the 173 engine on the VIN disc, the ID plate info that you have provided shows that that the car was fitted with the optional LD1 (202 engine) and cofirms the 3.36:1 LSD (G95).It may have also been fitted the a 4 speed and disc brake front end.
cheers phil

Hi Phil
I'm a bit mystified as to why Bazza has told you the Vin disc listing indicates your car was fitted with a 173 engine and limited slip diff and then says the body plate indicates it was fitted with the optional 202 and also confirms the LSD.
LD1 = 173 not 202 and G95 as well as an E in the BESTBAC only state the diff ratio is 3.36:1 and do not differentiate between a std diff or a LSD.
Regards
Dave.

10/73 LJ 2 door 'S'. I do not know the official name of the original colour...... a dark gold almost bronze metallic.
Being its a late 73 the colour you describe is Cognac.
