Hi There,

My LC GTR originally had antique gold trim.

Unfortunately a previous owner has done heaps of changes to the interior

1) Does anyone know what colour the dash bits are supposed to be ??
Looks like the metal work was originally painted a gold colour (it's been re-painted black)

2) Should the dash pad be a gold colour ?? (it's also presently black)

3) Should the console still be black ??

4) Do the door trims have gold with a silver centre ??

Anyone ??

Regards
David

Trim Code is

1194 41X
Not sure about the 1194 part but I thought that

the 41 X means Antique Gold ,without any cloth inserts

Whats you thoughts ??

Could the 1194 indicate other colours in the interior

Well Im not too sure about the LCs, but the HG gts monaro (made around the same time) shared a lot of the same bits. the paint was a solid colour not metallic and was more like poo yellow, but the vynil used was goldy
Dash pad= gold vynil
metal work=gold
Dash instrument cluster= black like normal
Console=gold
seats=gold
Beigy gold carpet
Door trims and kick panels gold and so are the bits that go on the window sill of the door, was gold vynil..
Hope that helps a little.

the number 1194 is the Holden order code for the paint colour, the number that appears on the paint line of the tag is the Dulux paint code info. I don't have the parts book at hand i'll check tomorrow and see what colours the dash bits should be.

Hi VerdoroGTR
here's some answers to your earlier questions,
(1)this is from the Dulux info in Fiv's book, all the 41 code interiors were Antique Gold in the following areas
Ash tray lid- Antique Gold-Dulon Suede
Instrument panel/upper steering column assy- Antique Gold-Dulon Medium Gloss
Seat adjuster guard/seat side arms- Antique Gold-Dulon Medium Gloss

(2) according to the LC parts book all the 41 code PAD ASSY-Instrument panel
are the same colour, Antique Gold.

(3)the console should be black, the Opel console has the hole offset to the left and is vinyl covered, the M20 console has the hole centered and is a black blow moulded item.

(4)I'm fairly sure the X in the code means it has a silver flash in the trim (my 40X LC had silver)

Also the LC GTR has a black wheel boss and horn button, whereas a HT,G would have been Antique Gold, hope this helps

Thanks Grant,

Given me a few clues

I've got the FIV book so I had a look see at the info you quoted.
Not sure about it having a gold dash pad though. The existing one
(Black) looks fairly undisturbed since new. The gold painted dash metal work
is a definate as I can see bits here and there after removing some bits off the
dash.
