Hi Gurus. Is it possible to remove the plenum chamber to do repairs to it? Mine, as alot of others, is badly rusted around the left hand air intake.
Any advice appreciated.

it sure can mate clean up where all the spot welds are and start unpicking them by slowly drilling them out from the top, the are a lot of spot welds under the front screen so that will be coming out, i just done mine but i didntunpick the whole plenum i did it from under side,, does yours look something like this ????

Mine is pretty much the same. Hope it turns out as good as yours.

So i take it i have to remove the assembly above it first? The one that holds the wiper rods/arms?

lol the last 2 pic's i took were of it upside down SLR Goat, its on a Rotisserie so dont worrie mate your eyes are just fine Posted Image

and yep you have to take the top section off if your gonna do the repair from the top side, which means, wipers off, wiper mechanism out, the front glass, the bonnet, wiper motor off, gaurds, nose cone, front bar e.t.c so you can get to all the spot welds, could turn into a pretty big job Posted Image
