Congrats on your 10sec pass. I took my SLR for a drive down Roseville bridge & back last night. I'm itching to get it painted & out the track once the pink Torana is finished. It still feels really twitchy in the rear, i give it a quick stab of the throttle & i can feel the rear move a little. It's running a 3.55 LSD but i'm thinking of fitting a 4.11 spool centre i have. What centre is the LJ running?

cheers Matt

Ive got a full spool 4.11s have you looked at your bushes are they in good nick ?

It was a great buzz to get my first 10sec time slip still room for improvment was in full street trim street radials, air filter, pump fuel mufflers only took off the rear resonators

You will have that LH put back together in no time then you can sort the other beast out ?

haha roseville bridge brings back memories i used to go down there loop around back under the bridge and fry the tyres all the way back up to the highway :burnout:

Lol. That's exactly what i did, under the bridge around the hairpin turn, then fried first into second & feathered the brake & throttle half way up the ramp back onto Warringah Road. My sister told me she could hear the SLR go past the Crown of the hill from inside the house & i was only on half throttle. I checked all the bushes & they seem fine. It's only been like this since i ran it at WSID in April. I'm curious to see how you've set your car up suspension wise, to be pulling the times & MPH you are, you've obviously set it up really well. I think i'll have to take a drive out to WSID next time you race, i want to see this car run.

Mick done very well. On a 40degree day, it ran consistant 665rwhp@6000rpm leaning out. With larger injectors & a smaller plenum it should run well over 700rwhp. This thing revs very quick now & shakes the car at idle. He knows he's wasting his time running it down the quarter on stock VN suspension, he's looking at tubbing it to the rails & fitting coil overs, so it may be awhile before we get to see it run any times.

We are doing some work for a holden/mitsubishi dealer there are quite a few brand new colorados and tritons they are trying to sell them as is but the damage is quite bad as far as i know they sell them less repair cost most jobs we have quoted are up around $6-$8000

Btw theres no ford vs holden meet on australia day

Will sort out a date for a full throttle friday :burnout:

Farrrrk!

How good are the cars after a major repair like that!? I mean for longevity?
Does it cause rust in the future? Are they just cranking u the cement mixers full of bog?

I know they will ship those "repaired" trucks down here and flog em to pl that have no idea! ( a friend bought a "hail damaged" before without being told it was damaged!!)

SPEW about the ford V Holden meet and sounds good about the friday meet :)

The cars we repair will have no problems at all they wont rust as we dont affect the paint in anyway

No bog in a paintless repair

But as you say people will buy them not knowing what happened to them later down the track although the dealers must declare them as repaired vehicles

Sorted out micks hilux today he showed me some pics of your trip :blink2:

He told me you sorted him out mate... I owe you! a BIG one!!

Yeah he takes photos of the "worst stuff" so it's not all like that... but it was fun :)

Thanks again for helping him/me with the hilux, and look forward to catching up with you soon at the track!

Cheers mate!
