Bet your itching. Sounds like you should be sweet to go racing in winter then!

Was there any reason in particular the crank snapped or just one of those things.

Hi Lee, sorry for your loss....

New combo sounds interesting, a crank support would be a wise investment !

Did your Harrop cranked engine have H beam SBC journalled rods ?

Did not know Scatt was making billet cranks? Thought they were all cast cranks for Holden motors.

Lol exactly like that andrew !!

Scat will do custom billets they are a special order 8 week turn around
And alot cheaper than crankshaft rebuilders there prices are ridiculous

Was that a harrop andrew ?

Can I ask what the ballpark figure is for a Scat custom billet?

Not a Harrop, Scat or Eagle, can't remember.

I'm building a 8/71 355/308 atm, Crankshaft Rebuilders recommended their cast nodular crank. It is a really nice looking unit.

Looking good Lee ! Might be some work getting that unit under the bonnet !

FWIW I finished the 308/355 with 8/71 mentioned above and ended up dynoing it a week or 2 ago, went 947 HP and over 800 ftlb on the CSR crank.

Will start another thread if you want more details.

Hey guys been a while since my last update ! So I'm now on the home run getting this thing back on the road we had a bit of a drama with the bracket for the blower the first one was rubbish and didn't fit under the bonnet so we had a custom billet one made it fits perfect and is a work of art only problem now is we have had to run it non inter cooled there's just no way of getting the thermos between the motor and radiator .
The engine made 780hp on 10 psi @ 6000rpm so we will see how it goes at that later down the track we can add more boost
