If Bomber has noticed something its most likely to do with the paint.

So, I'm guessing maybe you've painted over 2 pack with acrylic primer which will make it turn to sh!t??

Am I on the right track?

Have you fixed the crossmember Josh?

Any chance of a pic of the finished product?

Cool, a guessing game.

Is it that he sprayed the booster without pluging the vacuum hole and painted over the seal and rod that goes into the master cylinder.

Pick a photo Bomber to give us a hint where to look.

most of the new interior is back in now, just awaiting the trimmer to fix the SS seats and put new carpet, door trims and kick panels in. that'll be in a month or so, when the clutch conversion is in... which mind you is taking forever to get here..,

i'll get some photos

going to spray up the firewall tomorrow
and prep up the inner guards and if time pervails give them a colour too

can't wait i can finally see the end of the tunnel this thing went way over board and way over time then it was meant to be,

but at least i have peace of mind to know that nothing is held in by tape even if i am the dodgiest person on this forum :P

i did offer in your other thread to supervise you
but you being you
you must do it twice
or you could just come over some time during the week and watch a master at work :P

or you could just throw red dust at it
put it back together
and drive/enjoy the frocking thing

i have given them a quick coat albs but yeah they're mainly hidden

inner guards are next then once the clutch is in and the tunnel is grinded flat and the underbody is painted with the stone guard stuff then it'll all go back together

well the inner guards have had all the holes welded but i havent painted them yet... will get there next weekend

been busy working on a good mates V8 Hilux, he's the same bloke who did alot of work on my trans tunnel he's turning it from a street driven to a 454 rock crawling machine

i may make a thread about it if people are interested.

got a new door though with a lot less rust and a lot more straighter just needs the holes for the mirror welded up got this door for pretty cheap there was some shit that people wanted a million bucks for...

anyway should have the door done with the guards then the car can be sprayed and the rest of the stuff can be done...

Posted Image

the rust is alot more better than the current door
Posted Image

Posted Image

that last piece has already been fixed... will post more pics later on when my phone decides to stop chucking the shits

for those interested here is what i have been working on the last few weekends with my mate. this hilux v8 conversion was done over 15 years ago it currently has a 253 and ford C4 in it since he's had it he's replaced the old motor with a motor out of a VH SLE with Edelbrock Manifold and High Volume oil pump and we've since installed a 6.0l Fuel pump
Posted Image

Posted Image

surprisingly for the year and what type of vehicle it is the body is in quiet good nick we have stripped most of the boy and only found the tiniest amount of bog... we did find rust in the front inner guard and both the floorpan's were rotted pretty badly but he is on the hunt for new floor pans.
