that tunnel probably wont stand out as much when the seats are in. you can get the hurst shifter boots for about 20 odd bucks plus postage on ebay

Make one with some 30x3 flatbar and paint it black.

Youve got a welder and a grinder, the practice will do you good.

Or cut one out of a piece of plate,

Mark a hole for the boot, holesaw the four corners and join the holes up with a grinder and cutting wheel.

What is wrong with the shifter knob you have? If is just cosmetic then assuming it is alloy you could put it in a lathe and remove the scratches.

Yeah! Cut the head off a bolt and shove it up it's bum. Put it in a drill press or even a hand drill held in a vice and linish away!

well i picked her up on thursday... :) i got the seats fitted... still just need to touch up the dash a little... i painted the rocker covers and stuff green but it has reacted badly even though it was wiped over and over again with prepsol :(

anyway i just have to do the timing cover water pump. fit the fuel lines. liquids filled... fit the bumper then off to the electricians to have the final wire up... headlight loom adapted and dash sensors changed.

anyone know were i can get a decent gear shifter boot from preferably similiar to the one i have now but it needs to be taller so it has some flop to it? around 140mm tall i have made a square plate out of aluminium using a mates fancy laser cutter :) to secure it down to the floor... \

I think he had the seats redone
But I agree... not a fan of the quality of the job or the design

well they were #@$^%&... they look better than they did before they just dont suit the boxy interior off a HZ but its what in there and it is what is staying...

and datto what job and what design?? the carpet looks awesome... the seats are a bit borderline the whole sides were collapsed and torn the trimmer did with what he had...

I think the leather looks old and loose. I do love the seats though, always have. They just hug you.

I think the lighting and the fact that there is shit everywhere in the interior makes them look worse than they are. A good clean up with some leather cleaner and they will be fine, atleast the leather looks soft and loose, rather than most that end up rock hard....

I love Vt-VX SS seats :) and dont really think there is anythign wrong with them in this??
