the thing is i currently have a poxy brown dash painted black this one is real deal black. so i think that'll look 10x better.

Id have to say, for a full dash (including clock etc) all the looms, facia, underdash and dashpad in good knick, $450 probably isnt THAT bad of a price.

I sold a HZ GTS dash (gauges and facia no clock) on ebay for $300 on its own...

^^^ yep, GTS dashes are not cheap

Agree with others comments that spending all this extra money is not worth it when you will struggle to get 12-13 for it

But hey atleast you have progress, more then most people including myself can say about their toranas

........but at least i can engineer and dodgy stuff to keep me on the road....
and remove diffs......
and not hit my dad's shed when i drive in and out of it

hmm so the ute is in i dont care pile at the moment, its running just needs exhaust and the clutch rebled and electronic speedo hooked up. then a few small things i spent some more money at rare spares both on torry and hz parts. and hopefully will throw in the dash and shit this weekend and weld up the new seat brackets.

then take it down to the mechs and while im away working it can be there problem

yes and no. 2 years coz i've lost interest gained interest done other things, changed jobs run a business and so on. life takes priority over it.

but the torana is coping love. and when i get back from working the ute will be ready for play time

so well the ute after 2 years is finally on the home stretch... and then my timing cover leaks... doh so pulled it off this afternoon and found one of the bolts i had replaced for the water pump was a tad to big and broke through leaving a piece of metal floating in the sump luckily from what i can see i have recovered it all... so thats due to go back on tomorrow. then just need to get an accelerator cable and have the stereo put in and it will be ready to get the exhaust and its roadworthy to my spec's haha it'll go over the pits once all the bugs are sorted.

meanwhile in torana land. the torana has progressed. most of the panel beating has been completed it currently sits in a primer state ready for paint once the weather warms up.
anyway will post pics and hopefully a maiden voyage video tomorrow

well its going to the exhaust shop friday hopefully.... i just have to weld the dipstick on the opposite side as i have no clearance between the extractors and block so i am just going to put it on the opposite side were its meant to be on a commodore...

watch this space for a maiden voyage video soon if all goes well... yes i know i've been saying its gonn be back on the road for 2 years haha but this time its fa sure!

Most of them won't notice, they'll just say "I got an error"

No one ever reads error messages.

Occasionally they are helpful.

hmmmm 2 years later

now i still need to progress a little more but had other prioritys working 12 hr days suck and working on other peoples cars and stuff and 4wding and getting outdoors i'm a 4by convert now i love it but i still miss my grunt so this is back on track just gotta finish the sump mod putting the dippy on the opposite side then still get an exhaust as that didnt eventuate haha than my babys back :

can't wait...
