I was building this up to become a daily... but i have realised my ways and think that driving this to and from malaga wont be really good for both fuel and insurance.

NOS is for the strip but unsure if im going to fit it or just get the bottle and mount it in the back if not none the less good progress.

i have a new loom, heater box y piece and whole complete loom thanks to my mate... and i thanks to my uncle who has given me a Caprice Dash and Gauges... i am chasing a round style GTS clock to trade as he is missing the GTS Clock and has the nearly complete GTS dash

I will put up photos end of the night when the camera's charged

im proud of myself as i have primed and prepped my ute for paint and i have learnt how to make panels straight again thanks to AL and my Uncle i can't wait to get this thing to the mechs to get all fired up...

My exhaust is going to consist of twin 3" stainless system with a flange at the diff

thanks to Brendan at BYFORD EXHAUST AND PERFORMANCE CENTRE in advance for putting up with my Snotty Ute

Thanks to my Mate scotty who welded and modded my tunnel, gearbox xmember, and helped in drinking the cold jacks in the fridge :)

do your wallet and your sanity a favor and drop the nos idea for now
and concentre on getting the pos mobile again
and my back's fine ......not
thanks for asking

I thought you were on the injected 8 path now? That should be plenty cheap to run

camera's being a homo i have photos of the car in primer its going to get painted in a few weeks once i get it running as the paint job is only 6 months old

Posted Image

i also have recieved new parts to repair the melted mess of under dash i had i removed all the burnt parts and chopped most of the loom out now i just have to match the colours back up so that should be fun... i also have to find were my high beam lights are as i only have a single light loom.

Posted Image

i started to play around with my caprice dash tonight as i want to put a speedo in place off the clock so i am hoping i can utilize a round Autometer gauge to look square somehow

as you can see under the y piece is my nose cone with a few little swabs of filler

Didnt you just have a fire under the dash? And you'd rather do it
the 'dodgy way'?

Well finally after the 23rd time off putting the motor in its staying in,

tunnel is complete,

Posted Image

Posted Image

shifter sits perfectly in place, fired up last week and will be undergoing the painful process of repiecing the car and painting the front end, if all stays on track i shall see you at narrogin revheads 2010 in the burnout pit near you.

Posted Image

i can't believe how much a twin headlight front changes this ute.

motor is all together now, just going to replace the leads, new lucas oil and a new water pump
Posted Image

and the statesman dash that kindly got given to me

exactly right i have all the stuff and time but no money to install the stuff, so i decided to do the wiring myself and well its getting there. i got 2 diagrams both of the V8 and the V6 and found that they have exactly the same colours so well the next is like a puzzle purple to purple, blue to blue, red to red, hopefully tomorrow i can finish the wiring, pop the extractors on and have igniton :) then the grueling task of working away begins in 2 weeks
