2 on exhaust side
1 each end
Leaked like a sieve until I used about a full tube of ultra blue to stick them down.

But its not uncommon to put extras in but not usually on sheetmetal ones

im useing cork gaskets glued to the underside of the rocker cover with permatex blue on my vn heads with 4 bolts
these are good quality covers,not cheap though.mine are the 4 hole covers second photo from the top

Bocam recommends using cork not rubber with their sheetmetal ones
Good point, I only run the pressed chrome VN rocker covers.

When it was all set, I used a razor blade and trimmed it all flush with the bottom of the side lip.
Red loctite on the bolts and don't over tighten- never leaked again.
Oil filler cap, breather grommets, front and rear seals, side plates and dizzy hole still leaked like a sieve but the rocker cover was fine...
