Matt, they're 6 cylinder motors, so we, who require the blissful sound of a V8, need not worry about them : )

I think a race is in order!!! When are you planning to have the car up and running Andrew? Is the motor ready to go as is? Or is it getting a full rebuild?

Plans ??? Huh we all have em but it always takes longer than expected or promised. It's as My Dear Old Mother used to say "Good things come 2 those that wait" and plans were for an end of MAY respray, Now it WILL BE BEFORE YEAR ENDING 2010.. No forkin if's or but's... Duggan headed motor is "Wallaby-Teds Brother = ROO-TED" well the block is, But as you can see Brand New Old Stock Engine Block of Same Cubic Capacity (( gotta be atleast 208c.i. wink, wink )) on the pallet. So engine builder has been given around same time to slow build this MONSTER and an early Chrissy present in mid December of this year suits me just fine. Will use the cactus block to fit her snug beneath the front cross member of my gtr & use some high tensile chain to hold her in.. Sadly had to go FRAUD product 4 final drive, Really Really wanted 12 bolt posi but @ over 2 G's was a tad high for this White Guy.. So have an even shorter shortened 9 inch ( 4.5cm each side shorter than standard width ) with some 15x8's that should fit nicely under standard gaurds.. Left (clutch) leg is stuffed so slushy turbo 350 will suit me fine.. Oh and Matt last time I checked it was illegal to street race, & I don't condone such foolishness neither should you..

Just weighed Original Frank Duggan cylinder head with all bolt ons minus carbs = spot on 20kg. would be VERY INTERESTED 2 know the weight of same J-Zed red motor head with same bolt ons. ie webber manifolds & roller rockers, valves almost ready 2 run...

Leo Santucci built & destroyed thu competiton 4 many years with a 292c.i. chev, mild 8 lbs of boost from turbo & WHAMO 1000+ REAL PONIES... I don't dislike turbos, But have other MORE NAUGHTIER PLANS MAN..Posted Image

Many years ago a mate had a Duggan headed 292 in a UC Torana.

The front of the valve cover, manifold and the whole carb (same 4bbl manifold pictured) all hung out of the bonnet.

Made heaps of torque but had a lot of problems with balancers and flywheels/flexplates.

Good luck with it !!

Good one Andrew, I'll pay that. Good luck with it. Yup you probably will see Yella in your mirrors cause it just cruises these days.

So what is the significance of these heads? I've never heard of them before.
