Yes?
Too low. Put it back to normal height! I like HQ-WB at maybe 1" max lower than original height, just my persoanl preference. Love the HQ Stato. My first car I used to drive to school in on my P's in 1984 was a HQ Deville.

Haven't done bugger all with this but there is a list of things to do over the coming months.
I have a new job so busy with that, thankfully much better than student wages so should have some coin to throw onto it.
Also bought another A35 (and a YT head) the other day, coupled with the company car and the missis new one I now have 7 vehicles sitting on the property, need to start getting rid of a few.

Could well be blank on the chassis rail as I've seen a few like that which appear totally factory, no number. I currently have an HZ ute which is rough but reasonably original, will have to take a closer look.

We have the option of registering as a commercial or private use vehicle, I think that's been the case for at least that long so only the commercial use ones are likely to have the load/weight info I imagine.
Sorry for the thread hijack!

There is the little printed (not stamped) plate that says something like 'Overloading or overspeeding will void your warranty' which has the gross mass on it of 2155kg, mine's missing at present but I know I had it somewhere, pretty sure it goes on the passenger side near the option plate though not in place of the ADR plate. ADR plate still has the rivet blocking the original hole. I thought Aussie cars would have had this plate too?
Will find the missing bits and put together a description of what goes where if you like.

2155kg is correct GVW 6cyl HJ-HZ ute or van with commercial tyres. Aussie cars didn't get such a plate, from the time ADR plates were fitted (1/70 on) commercials had the GVW on the ADR plate, prior to that (HK and early HT) they had a GVW plate on the front bonnet lock panel. Also on earlier but not sure where.

Lee there hasn't been much in cruising in this thing over the year, been sitting in the garage. Life is been getting away with me since we had the wee boy in August. So I have decided that for the next period of my life I'm not really going to have much use for a finished statesman in the garage.... Plan is to get some coin together to finish off the interior (more or less, just re do the seats) then sell it off.... A 'dream car' project can then happily sit in the shed until such time I am ready for this. By 'dream car' I think a 2dr LJ torana (don't care too much which model - will be XU1 rep), so I think with the $$$ I can get for this that should be able to get me a half decent project to do properly.
I the mean time I also need to get rid of a few vehicles and tidy up the house, I recently bought this to help with that:

Am I nuts? Yes, but we all knew that...

have to agree with DJ there Sam.
so has the boy that was born in August have a name ??
Our wee boy is called Max, and before long he is going to be into everything. Yes I have been a fan of landrovers for a while when this came up locally. I needed some sort of ute with a toeball for assorted jobs so I think its perfect. It runs a nissan 3.3L diesel which gives it plenty of grunt but is bloody loud in the cab and the diffs are too short for the running gear. Both of these issues I will sort over the next month.
