Hi all just wondering if anyone has seen a poster like this before.

Posted Image

I bought it around 9 years ago for $900. the small photos underneath are of Bob Morris, Colin Bond, Jim Richards and of course Peter Brock signing the area underneath of the poster.
The picture is a special edition 66 of 120 and the certificate also has this on it.
The reason why I am asking is that I have not been able to get a figure on it for insurance. Some people say its worth $500 and a couple of sporting memorabillia recok to insure it for $4500. I will not be selling this but want to put it on my home contents insurance if the price warrants it.
Also just curious as to where the other 119 have gone to.
The place where i purchased it from was torn down some years ago to make way for a shopping development.
hope someone can shed some light on this for me.
Thanks
Pete.

sorry mate i cant offer a price as i have no idea, but reckon it could go for a fair price considering the signatures.

I've also got that same poster above, but without the signatures. Yours as a framed & signed set with all 4 drivers would have to worth a decent amount. Sorry I have no idea how much though.

On another note - I would like to find out people's thoughts on this framed pic of mine below.... it would be nice to get an idea of it's value for contents insurance too. I'd never thought of it until I saw this post...

Mine is the 79 Bathurst winning A9X... signed by Peter Brock, limited series of 500, and I also have the original certificate of authenticity too. I think I got this around the early 1990's.... some of you may remember seeing these advertised in Street Machine magazine (there were several available, Dick Johnson etc)...

Any ideas?

Yes it is a funny thing that we look at the value of our cars but when we stop and have a look at all the other merchandise we collect over the years it starts to add up.

Not sure even if an Insurance company may be able to help?

I have the same poster. There was a guy selling one not that long ago for $12,000!! He didn't get it but in his auction he showed a link to another auction where one was (supposedly) sold for $15,000.

I pesonally think they are worth about $1000 - $1500..

cheers
Mick

Hi Pete, shame someone has scribbled on your poster, I'm happy to swap you for mine which has no graffiti on it :)

Yes it is a shame that 4 A**holes decided to scribble their names on it. But I think i will keep my copy anyway thanks.

So far I have had 1 bloke offer $100 for it, don't know why there are no UCs in the picture!!!Posted Image

LXCHEV :I wonder if Shannons do valuations on these types of things?

Yep, great picture that one. You might note next to Bob Morris on the lounge chair he has a framed picture that I gave to him on behalf of the A9X club a few years ago. He put it there just fopr that photo. It holds pride of place in his house now. Bob is a really nice bloke and really happy to have been recognised for his contribution to motorsport, and as the Patron for the A9X club.

I agree Bob is a great bloke as I met him a couple of years ago at Harry Firths 90th birthday. He is coming up this year for Toranafest.
I am surprised no one has seen this or got another framed version of this Poster with signatures?
This picture takes pride of place in what is turning out to be quite a little lions den.
Hopefully some one else can shed some more light on this for me.
Thanks for the info.

Pegards
Pete
