I should be able to race in anything that doesn't require a liscence by around March (I need some time to iron out problems with the car etc before I start racing it or anything; needs some cruising time first) so I'll keep my eye on this thread and see what you come up with.

If I'm down to one registered work van at the time, I won't be racing. If I have two, then yes I will. That's what the work van is for

If you let WSID know in advance they will set aside a whole staging lane for your club and let you race whoever you want. This is at a normal Wed. night street meet. I'm sure it would be a lot easier for those in NSW to get to WSID than it is for our Vic. brothers to get to Heathcote. Perhaps another thread could be started to see if we get any starters ?

With the reaosnably poor track record of sydney people attending events i'm concerned that we approach WSID and get it organised only to have few people decide to show up on the night!!
It's something that i would LOVE to do though especially as the monaro is close to being raceable again!
I was glad to attend the last Heathcote Event, and the reason we decided to use Heathcote as a venue was that the cost was small, the track really good and we could hold our own event and run it in our own time at our own pace. It turned out to be a magnificent day and we all had a MASSIVE blast ( especially myself even though i didnt get to race!)
I think we will start a new thread for a WSID event struggler.. that may be good, but i also hope that our VIC counterparts can make another Heathcote event as good as - if not better than - the last one!
As ive said i cannot commit to coming to VIC this coming year due to financial concerns, but i'll do anything i can to help organise an event at either track!!
Cheers!

Then i watched the video and it got my Heart pumping for more!!!
So when are we going to do this?

I reckon I could organise myself in time for that, probably only as a spectator but will bring the SLR for the run and give me a chance to visit the olds back in the old home town of Bendigo for the weekend.

I missed last years cos of duck opening

Not that we will have Duck opening next year by the looks of things.
If no Duck openeing I will definately be there.
If we get more rain and they call a season... Sorry Ducks take precedence for me.

Edit: at least next year i wont have an engagement in the arvo so i might get there late.
