The owner knows what happened.

We had some fellas hanging around real early this morning 5am they were parked under a tree across from our house, our Dog was going off and the sensor light under the carport was on so i went out with my ohfrOck bar and torch, I initially thought the house across the road was being broken into again - Holiday House. When one of them see's me and yells out if i have any fuel because they have broken down, 30 seconds later they reverse onto the main road and take off. Guess they didn't expect the dogs or the spot lights... lol

Glad Amandas Commodore has an Alarm, just gotta get a big arse chain for the bike!

Glad my neighborhood isn't as bad as some... I'm trying to beef up my rottweiler puppy to be tougher and not think everyone is your friend.

Getting him to sleep in the Shed ain't a bad idea, or at least have access to it.

Matt i tried bringing my bike into the back yard and parking it under the rear awning, but our 5 month old Puppy decided to tear into my seat... lol

Our neighbourhood isnt normally that bad, dunno whats goin on lately. Most of the trouble makers come up from Sydney.

Looks like owning a Torry is getting about a garage dearer these days.
Don't leave your pride and joy in a front yard or carport guys.... time to get serious and keep em out of sight.
What a shame.

What's happening to this (once) great land of ours?

And I unfortunately don't own one anymore, but I still hope no-one here has to deal with that sort of incident.

Is there any point in having the spotted thread? Posted Image If the owners want pictures of their cars on the site then they will do so

Going back a few years ago

I had gone white water rafting and wanted to look at the water fall I had rafted down any ways parked my hatch in a car park a short drive off the main road and went for a wonder, now I had my mum in the car sitting in the passenger seat, she tells me when I get back that with two minutes of me leaving a tow truck had turned up and the guy jumps out and starts hooking up my car, she climbs over the center console crushing it and gets into the drivers seat. They sees her moving and gets really pissed off, gets back in his truck and does a wheelie parks along side mum abuses her and roars off. She was so frightened by the experience that she forgets the guys number plate and sign writing on the truck.

Another time I drop mum off to get the shopping and I go to see some friends I come back to find mum a bit shaken, she had finished the shopping and found two guys trying to break into the car!

Third time car was parked out front of the house in a very quite suburb, and woke up to hear midnight spares in action. I figure they must have known where I lived and come calling although it was unusual for me to leave the car in the drive

It is pretty sad that some of these scumbags will go to so much trouble to steal your car. I think you need to lock the car out of sight, have good lighting and be very vigilant. CCTV would be good and cheap units are available these days so identification can be made of the alleged theives. I also think that some sought of wheel clamp might be effective, similar to the parking ones as this will stop most from rolling the car out.

Of course an alarm ans a noisey dog are also a must.

Still a shame that you have to go to these lenghts but I suspect it will get worse.Posted Image

Cheers
