There is an unrestored 186 gts same colour that gets around the small town i live in, has grown on me big time!

bet it pulls some heads driving that around the place.
the engine bay looks fantastic,what colour do you use in the engine bay, love the look?

cheers mate funny enough though you always get someone to say thats not the original interior colour someones sprayed that lol they just dont relise how much pearl they had when new

There is an unrestored 186 gts same colour that gets around the small town i live in, has grown on me big time!
maybe you should chase it up mate and see if he wants to sell you never know

engine bay is gmh black its a nice saturn black best black i have found so far and the engine paint is hk rocket red

When i was out there last checking out a 2dr LJ it was like walking back in time, LATE 60-70'S Holdens and fords lined up and alot in salvagable condition.
surely they'd have something out there thats still in good nic or to fiddle with.

Hey daryl, Have you tryed pt wakefield wreckers for a heater tap?
When i was out there last checking out a 2dr LJ it was like walking back in time, LATE 60-70'S Holdens and fords lined up and alot in salvagable condition.
surely they'd have something out there thats still in good nic or to fiddle with.

heres some pics of one of my monaros,it is oridginally a 307 4 speed inca gold with black trim,unfortunatly its been modified but is a good rust free straight car,i still have all the oridginal parts engine box diff,etc.was painted this colour which i mixed myself 23years ago.
its running a metho 350, scat moly crank,scat h beam rods ,weisico forged pistons,dart heads, 4 speed muncie,fullspool mark williams,billit axles bla bla.

Daryl, They do let you go for a look around, Just say u need to check out a few cars and they tell u just to go down the back and see if its there, very EASY GOING Countreeeeeeeeeeee people. if u know what i mean. from memory there was alot of HK/T/G Sedans and wagons out there. about 6 lh/lx 2 uc couple of LJ coupes but they are stuffed,
And tucked away from the wrecks i seen my first green PLUS4 (OPEN Sat 9-12)

nar i didn,t paint it,i did all the shit work,i was 23 and keen as ,my friend helped me,
the warrick yellow car i will be painting,as now i know how to fully restore a car on my own,i just get the gear box and diff set elsewhere,and chrome etc done by others.
love your factory car.

yeah lots of work involved prepairing for paint unless you have done it you dont relise how much is involved but great to see your having a crack at the warwick yellow one are you going acrylic or 2pac i think acrylic is more user friendly but not many people like it anymore

most don,t use acrylic anymore because of the time to bring up the finish,i have the time.
i use 2k in engine bay and boot under side and mechanicals,as no buffing is needed,shiny of gun.
