Jesus i hope you didn't paint over Brocky's signature! Apart from that the interior's come up beautiful. I love the trimming inside the boot. How long did you spend on that?
Cheers Mick, i spent about a day on the back area, what you see in the pics was just slapped on quickly to get a look at whether i liked the colour or not , hard to tell with one little piece so had to cover a few decent pieces, once i was happy with the change it took a day to do the whole back area not including the battery area. The rear wheel arches where dont by a local trimmer as it had to be sewed and im not much good with sewign , he also did the console. The whole interior change only cost around $500 bucks. $130 roof lining (not fitted), $120 cover console and about $80 for the rear arches. The rest was timber and material. See the next posts for the hatch area when i finished with the design on that .
Also the brock signature was kept and i used all different dash parts. It was done before his passing but i thought just incase i dont get him to sign another ill keep it...
Money well spent. Not that I dislike the look of the old interior though either.
Just wondering, and i think people have discussed this on here before, but how do people create that embossed look in flat interior panels? I'm guessing it involves two layers of thin (like 3mm) MDF with the design cut into one of them, and that the vinyl is then heat formed and worked by hand and glued into the negative space, but not sure. Can anyone explain this process?
Yep he certainly takes good pics
Looks tough! Makes me almost wanna fit round headlights to mine!

Thats pretty much it Mick, i just used contact adhesive with a brush but the spray can would have propably been much easier for sure. Best advise i can give you is just grab a piece and give it a go. The only reason i didnt keep the first door trim i did was because i had the big "SS" logo like in the back on the door and it looked too much so i started the door again. Other than that no problems at all just wish i had of had a step by step thing but never thought it would turn out that well at first and then before i knew it i was finishedMoney well spent. Not that I dislike the look of the old interior though either.

That looks SHIT HOT!!!
I bet you say that to all the hatches

Barny
It was how i pictured it in my head so to come out the way it did i was happy, its nothing like work done by upholsterers (Moot and others) but still alot better than what i had. Love the standard interior look but mine was well worn.

Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. This terrifies the disciples and they think they are seeing a ghost. Jesus tells them in verse 27, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
