Here is my engine builders fix for oil pressure in a rebuilt/new Holden V8.Basically it holds 2 litres of oil...fit your compressor to one end..open the valve and let it pump the oil into the motor via the pressure gauge hole....he says it has never failed yet..Clever!

I've heard a lot of mechanics who know what they are doing with Holdens use pressure priming systems, would work great and certainly worth buying or building one if you need to prime oil systems often!

At least the lifters will get a good drink faster.
Does he leave all the extra oil in while running in or short change the sump?

My engine builder does the same
I think he has an old fire extinguisher he pressurises and plugs in
I wasn't there when he did it so not 100% sure

Engine takes 6.5 litres...put 4.5 in...2 litres in the pressure tank...blow it in.

Worked a treat...started at 20 psi then climbed to 60 psi....all good...done and dusted!
