Did the LC Torana have a white regulator with yellow tape from factory, like the other early holdens? If not what type was it? Any photos would be great.

Unless they were fitted with the Lucas system ,then they had a Lucas regulator ,not in an alloy box .

That is a Bosch. The alternator that matches it has the correct number for LC GTR according to John Gong.

Same thing I reckon, right down to the yellow tape.
Mine has been apart to adjust it at some stage.

My Adelaide LC has it's factory Lucas alternator and regulator , so both types were used on LC's. the alternators look different than the bosch ,I'll get a picture of both for you , if it is Lucas you may want to leave it that way .
If the gong reads this ,PM me if you have a spare Lucas regulator for sale ?

The aluminium covered regulator is a bosch, they where designated as an RE35,and they where replaced by the first edition of the electonic regulator i think they where called an RE 55, the alternator from memory would be the same as a HQ type in the bosch and the lucas one is different from the one pictured previously,as far as which one to fit if ya not over worried about keeping your car in original condition i would use the bosch, them lucas things where a curse. When i was an apprentice i used to clean the contacts and readjust those bosch regs by the dozen
