I loved it before but I think it looks even better now.

Not a Massive fan of the Matt black but it definitely grows on you.

I wish I could afford to get the tank and bumpers chromed, but I can't : ( Plus, even if I could afford it I don't know of anyone around here who does a decent job anyway.

Looks great.

God thing about the front spoiler, is you can now put original style front blinkers in it!

Looking fantastic, Dirtbag. Becarefull tho, if you start building some awesome drop tanks for yourself, you will most likely receive orders left right and centre from everyone on here.

Hey mitch. I have a normal nose cone here so when I do the proper paint job I'll put the front back to normal. For now I'm too lazy to change it :-)
As for making drop tanks they really need to be alloy or stainless to look good and I don't have a tig so can't do them. Yet :-). This is basically taking budget building to a whole new cheap ass level hahaha.

love the drop tank mate, you might even be able to convert the wife yet. it doesn't look as out of place as they normally do.
we may have to discuss this "droptank" situation at some stage i think ;)

I got my axles back this morning.

Until I can spend the time making the new diff I'm just using the stock banjo. The guy who did the stud pattern change to HQ for me welds a ring around the axle hat, welds the old stud holes up then machines the lot down. Then he drills whatever pattern you want. He also drilled out my drums as well. I also got him to fit new wheel bearings for me.

I'm now just going to load a heap of pics that I like. Too bad if you don't : )

Once it was all back together I took it for a drive to Queensland Transport to change the colour on the rego. During that drive I decided the 295s were too big, so since these pics were taken I've put the 265s off the other wheels on these wheels. Hopefully they wont scrub as much.

Well that's it! I might take a couple more pics tomorrow with the different tyres, and you never know I might even wipe all the dirt off it : ) I doubt it though hahaha.

Sweet As!!

Wasn't sure on the flare thing, but it does look 'right'.

Pleeeease paint those bits around the tail lights the same as the bumper!!

Pretty please?

Smaller rear tyres will definitely help. Looks a bit "full" there, not that i ever thought i'd say that.

Apart from that, i like.

Cheers.

Like pretty much everything except the rear as it looks a tad plain compared to the rest of the car..tailights need surrounds coloured to match the bumpers & maybe some pinsdtriping or your business name in graphics?

or see what it would look like if some could photoshop the numberplate into tailgate.Fat ass tyres on it look horn!

Hi Josh. George May (his shop is called Racecraft) did them for me. It cost $100 an axle, so considering how much work was involved I was happy with that price.

I'll also get George to cut and spline the axles out of the borg warner diff I'm going to cut down for the ute. He charges $150 to cut and spline an axle. He also puts the little divot in the end of the axle, but I have no idea what that's for : ) I can PM you his number if you want.

He also makes a torana front end out of a modified crossmember and uses adjustable tubular arms with Strange alloy coil over shocks. He uses them in Bolwell Nagaris and cobra replicas etc. Plus they still fit in a torana.

The little divot is to centralize the axle in a lathe/splining machine....

And that numberplate in the tailgate idea isnt a bad one, might make the rear end look higher (NNNNoooOOOoooOOOoooOOOO) though??

Cheers.

Couldn't have put it better myself. I think painting the tail lights would make them look too bodgy and stand out too much.

As for the front indicators, as stated earlier when the car gets painted properly I'll put the front back to normal. I don't have another front bumper at the moment and I'm just not that worried about them to tell you the truth.

Interesting. Sounds very similar to what McDonald Bros Racing does down here in VIC.

Do you know any more RE costs and if legal for the street?

The ute looks tough as, great job as usual mate.

Just wanted to say big congrats!

I picked up the bible today and found the spread on your bro's hatch, really good read and nice pics, so yeh well done guys :)

I'm sure the ute will be worth a few pages once you complete your house and have the extra time and coin to finish it off, thanks again for all the inspiration and good humor : )
