Definately a good improvement, what's with the single cab kombi ute in the background?

Edit: just saw the other thread; are you going to start a thread on the Kombi? It is one of the cars I would really like to own, but with a 2.8L type 4 motor in it.

I prefer that look. Nice.

Just need to use that silver around the tail lights... :spoton:

Hi Vinny. Yes, I will change the front back to normal later. I have a stock nose cone here so I'll just use that. I also have a front spoiler so will have a look and see if it suits it or not.

I though about silver around the tail lights but I was worried they'd stand out too much. I might give it a go when I repaint the whole car later.

As for the kombi, it's another job I've started. It's getting custom made smooth body panels with no side doors or vents and a 253 in the back. Should be a fun project.
I wasn't going to start a thread on the kombi. Didn't think it would be much of a drawcard on a torana website : )

Love the bumpers Tim. Nice work.

Nothing as nice as a straight full piece tailgate. Posted Image

Dom

PS start up a separate thread for the Kombi. You know you want to.

Get a little blu-tac and some strips of alfoil and you'll get the (dodgy) idea how chrome-shiny-side/silver-dull-side would look?

That looks great.

My only critisim is the tail lights. Need to look more like HJ/Z IMHO.

Yeah, I hear your point, but then it would look like it's trying to be an HQ. The lights are cut down rodeo, so at least they're still sort of holden : )

I bought some back wheels for the torrie ute today second hand.

So now I need to find a pair of 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 inch wide ones for the front.

Does anyone have ant that size they'd like to sell me????

They're only 7's as the rear sits pretty low now and I don't want them rubbing. I lowered it a bit more last week : )

Yeah yeah, give me a break : ) I'm not running flares and the back of my car is now probably about 3 inches lower than yours so there's not a lot of room. Plus the tyres I'll be using are bigger than the ones that came with the wheels. So come on guys find me some skinny ass front wheels!!!!!

If I was going to do it I wouldn't want anything less than a 10 inch wheel or it's not worth doing, but then it's fairly obvious to everyone that it's tubbed. Plus, I really like this little ute and I don't want it put off the road for any reason. I think it looks good now and it's only got 7s on the back now, so she'll be right mate : )
