DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or leave it as is with tubs, narrower front track and a deep burgundy, almost Coca Cola colour.

hahahahaha. I forgot I did that photoshop job on my old car. It does look pretty cool I guess : )

It's funny you say coca cola colour, because I was thinking maybe the purple/burgundy off the plymouth prowler. Still not sure on colour though. Flares and barbados green look pretty funky : )

p76 discs I reckon and a slightly narrower diff out of something that wont need shortened axles, justsome cut'n'shut brackets and a pattern change.

Maybe even just lob half an inch inch off each end of the housing , weld them back on and take to the axle splines with a dropsaw....would do the job and cost nothing,

Volvo diffs are 1400 face to face,if thats any help.I have one if you want it.

If anyone says "9 inch conversion",Im gunna throw up.

can you roll the front guards to stop the rubbing?
or is the to much gap there?
how bout morpious purple for the paint as well?
i love the flared toranas but every one does them and this looks to "clean" to mess with

No Flares Tim. Can you just "pump" out the guards a little for more clearance. Seems a shame to change such a nice car from what it is now.

As for colour....hmmmm. Red is nice and it goes faster. Posted Image

Hey wot, yes I agree, as good as a 9 inch is it's a bit much for a stock 253 : )

Al, all the guards are already rolled, so I have to actually flare them to make them fit. I like the bolt on flares better than beaten flares on LH/LX toranas. As for morpheus purple, it's the new tiger gold. Every second car getting done around here is that colour : (

I'm leaning towards flares, which I know is sad, but I think it would look awesome.

Cherry black is too dark I think, and red is boring and makes me sad : )

I'm thinking it's going to be flat black for now : )

Does anyone know how much a set of Wilsons hatch flares cost? Or have Wilsons phone number?

Dont flare it. P76 and shorter diff ftw. Car looks so cool unflaired.

Cheers.

Yeah, I'm really liking the idea of it flared with scoop and spoiler in flat black. At least until I decide on it's proper colour.

It's not that hard to unflare a torana should I change my mind later. I'll leave it to whether I can afford the flares or not : )

Flares and barbados green gets my vote !!

Although black (flat or satin) and flareless with tubs and big rubber would look equally awesome........

Ok FLARES. Always was good at maths and science not so much English and the other gay useless subjects.

Everyone who posted above this post and below my last post is gay for supporting FLARES.

Bar Tim, he is still undecided...Bisexual???

Cheers.

I think the only way to keep everyone happy (and that is the point, right :) ) is to put flares, scoop, spoiler on one side and leave the other side flareless.
Don't worry about the bit in the middle.

Are you going to mount a F1 type rear wing in the ute tub or screw a SLR/5000 spoiler to the roof?

grenmachine that's a good point you raise there, but as for the turbo LS1, I'll do that if it's your shout : )

Al, I'm actually really liking the blackboard paint idea. My 3 year old daughter would LOVE IT!!!!! hahaha

Simon, you need to just sit in the corner and take a long hard think about what you've done/said. Shame on you hahaha

So rodomo, do you prefer to be called rodomo, or R - O - B Dammit! ? Or maybe Mr Dammit? : ) Anyway, I think the SLR spoiler on the roof would look tacky and try hard, so I think the F1 type wing rivetted to the tray would be a much more professional and aesthetically pleasing result : )

Put a little lip spoiler on- the removable wagon top!

Blu-tac some bolt heads around the factory flares just to keep people guessing...
