I need to organise the radiator and have been lookign at the ADC aluminium 4 core "burnout king" with twin thermo and over flow bottle attached.
Its a fair wack of a price at $1350, does anyone have this setup, is it worth it.
Would there radiator only and BA Falcon thermo fans be the same for less. without the good looks of the ADC setup of course.
Any help would be great

Wouldnt it be better to over compensate on the cooling package? i know the street and strip will be sufficient with a good Elec water pump, just figured it'd be a smarter choice.

What I mean to say is that after warm up, with the thermostat open (or in the case of an auto controller without thermostat), coolant flow should be relatively constant to engine output (read RPM) and airflow the variable in a perfect world, mantaining even engine operating temp.
I am of the opinion that going to a thicker, instead of a larger surface area radiator will only restrict air flow and trap heat, not release it to the airflow.
I suggest you read up on the stickies for a more informed choice.

if you look at the top you can just see that sections of the cooling fins are damaged the photos aren’t the best.
the alloy thermo housing had scratching where it looked like someone slipped with a screw driver
minor scratching on the top tank (i could have buffed it out i spose but why should i its meant to be new)
it had the black thermos, which look really nice but i ordered their chrome ones and got the black
it was missing the relay and wiring for the thermos (that was ordered too)
i also paid for a oil cooler to be supplied and that was not in the box either
not major problems on their own but they all added up.. Look i think i might just have been unlucky the have a good rep (there is always a lemon here or there and looks like i got it)

These are all brass units made in house.
No problems here.

Race radiators now supply me rads when I need them .
Really that isn't a big deal what your complaining about .It is aluminium and is easy to scratch and damage with general handling .Grab some polish and get int it if you want it perfect .Ask them to sort out the issues you have with the colours etc .Then if you get no where then give them a bagging .

A really good mate of mine went to Summernats a few years ago and organised a radiator with the above said to pick up from Motorvation a week or so later .
Mate was amping from getting to go to Summernats and pumped knowing that his radiator for his E38 was going to be waiting to be picked up from the ADC stand at Motorvation went with him to pick it up and was shown a hemi V8 radiator with necks on opposite sides to a 265 .
"sorry mate i wasn't sure if they were different"
after going to Summernats and taking the time to talk shop and order correct part he was let down and fobbed off .
I am not saying their product is no good but these stories are true and when you work hard for your money and do everything to make it happen and get let down the word does get out.
At 41 i have definately started to accept that life is full of disappointments but after each one you learn a little .
