Im after any assistance with fitting rear 4 door A9X flares. If anyone out there has photos of the door flare side on that would be great.
I know I'm most likely going to have cut, modify or re-fibreglass parts of the flares but need to determine exactly where they are suppose to sit first.

So I can see how this suppose to fit.

In the position above the gap sits perfect.

Just not quite sure about it

G'day Ruts. Just wondering if you got to those rear flares?

I've got the flares but I won't be able to do anything until Tuesday. I'll do a quick fit up and then I'll take some measurements but remember each set is different. I'll post a few pics up for you.

The middle one might be of some help????
This is my old car that had A9X flares on it. Because I wanted it so low I just cut all the metal out I could, and also had to cut a fait bit of the inner flare too, so there was nothing left of that inner lip at the end of the door flare.

was digging around through old photos and came across some that might be helpful to you.

Middle photo is flair on door, others are flair on car. As 76lxhatch said, Ruts thread on cutting guards=priceless!
i fitted my flairs up before i started cutting up the guards etc. to get the rear section of flair to align properly with the door flair, i fiberglasses a block which 'kicked' out the end of it. hard to describe... the flair mounted to the door was modified so that it sat properly and all gaps lined up. then the rear section of flair was mounted.
ill be seeing my car some time over the weekend, ill take the camera and take some shots of the flair mounted and the spacer block i used for ya.
hope that helps abit.
Josh.

This one is a bit rough on the inside because I did this one about 15 years ago.

The measurement I took was from the top of the flare to the top of the door near the window frame.

Total length from top of flare to the top of door on MY flare was 255cm. Just keep in mind that each flare may be different but that measurement should get you close to where you should be. Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else.
