G'day all,

Here is an image of a cast code on a L-31.

From what I understand this means:

17 - day of the month

D - April

4 - 1974

Is this correct?

My main question is what does the clock picture mean to the right? It appears to be pointing to 5 O'clock...

i think it means your motor was orginaly made at 5pm? 17 apr 1974
someone can back me up on this yeah ?

I'll agree with that Quagmire. Cast at 5.00pm or thereabouts.
