Yes it is. At the moment though I am running just a asp stock 202. Giving the turbo engine a trick up. copper head gasket, rollers, forged pistons, massive headwork. I am also replacing the twin carbs with a 45 Weber. I want to push around the 350hp mark.

Be aware the SL/T sticker has been made up. There was never a badge describing it, Garret just did the dirty work after the production and if you had the cashola bars.

Definately a rare unique car. What's the history of it (you first owner, restored etc?)

My old man had bought it from new and had the turbo etc.. fitted after. I swapped him this for a HK Monaro. Resto was done approx 5 years ago. Small bits of cancer coming thru now but hope to have all fixed before end of year. Engine/Turbo work hope to have all done mid next year. $$$$$.

It looks hot , a definate chic magnet , is the front lowered ? great to start with a Torana , and they are easy to work on .

Good looking machine.... like the colour, the wheels and your bumper over riders. Great way to start your motoring life!

We put our repo Bathurst wheels on today , for a wedding in four weeks , no problems just an XU1 spacer on the back to clear the drums .

Well i'll throw my hat into the ring, though i know there are pictures of my car on here somwhere but stuffed if i can remember what username i had them under!!!
At any rate, bought my UC torana Hatch when i was 16, never regretted it for a second. Not much of it is original it's running:
Blue 202 with Black Heads and EFI
Celica 5 Speed
HQ Rear end for Discs all round
Cold Air Intake
Custom (read shody) interior

Had it resprayed when i was 19 or so, but after a few 'discussions' with the boys in blue i decided it was time to switch to something less....obvious than an orange Torana lol.

Driving a POS that will not be named at the moment and unfortunetly it's an auto that makes me want to kill myself every time i see there's no clutch so looking at getting the Torie back on the road.
General plans are to make it into an LS1, just pricing it up now and thinking etc. If i do go ahead and start it then i'll add the project to the forums of course.

Pics of my baby are attached, interestingly i seem to have no photos of the car before the spray job, or after i put the new wheels on....curious. At any rate here's two:
Attached File  100_3895.JPG   171.21K   10 downloadsAttached File  100_3890.JPG   152.97K   7 downloads

Look forward to hopefully some good chats and advice, especially if i can convince myself shelling out the dosh for the ls1 is the way to go......(Which really shouldn't take much convincing, just need to decide on the total cost lol)

I went looking for an LX hatch but bought this instead.

I'll probably stumble accross an LX now that I've bought this & if I do then the UC will have to find a new home.

Time will tell

Found this one for my old man. He sold his LX hatch for virtually nothing pre aussie car boom and still hasn't forgived himself. I picked this car up for him. low original k's and really clean trim. Paints a bit faded but the car is unmodified.  He's wrapped to be a torana owner again.

that does look pretty clean Mat, just need to ditch those wheels! some sle wheels would probably look the part if he wants to keep it original looking.

is that an eh in the background?
