Sorry but I don't know too much at all.
Just remember seeing it for sale twice in the last 2 years.
And your neighbour offered to sell me the Hotwires after answering my wanted ad

Way earlier in the thread I posted a pic of my hatch in it's sad state, and about 2 years into it's build.
Heres an update.
Goal to have the rest of the hanging panels painted by mid 2015. Luckily, all they need is a final wet sand, mask and shoot (when weather permits is the challenge now)

Well I have joined this band of unruly brothers, got myself a 1979 UC sedan, at the moment it has a pretty good 173 and trimatic in it. It seems to be pretty structurally sound but has a pretty average paint job, which suits me at the moment. I have plans to drop a 253 in it at some stage, I just have to get all the bits together. Thanks to all you gurus on this site, there is so much info on here its unbelievable

Heres one I have been having fun with lately. Good little cruiser, reminds me of my first beast (driveline/ sounds wise) - gets lots of attention.
This car was going through a LX SLR 5000 mockup conversion, which was a right shame as it had a great rust free original body. So previous owner had drilled and put on the full body kit. Luckily a knowledgeable fellow Torana enthusiast helped with the installation, more importantly cutting of the front guards - which were done to the correct standard. The rears aren't cut, and I probably won't for reversion purposes.
Upon ownership of the car (before the grinders came out!!) I removed the scoop and rear bobtail, welded up the holes and sent the car to get boot lid/ bonnet and flares colour matched.
Then I started on the 6 conversion which included 3.08 Salisbury diff, extractors + sports exhaust, new clutch, bigger tailshaft blah blah blah. Finished off with body moulds and SL badges put back on (I just love the look of the body moulds and badges!)

I've never been to keen on flared UC's but I have to admit they really look nice on that Sunbird UCANG.

I made the right decision though, I think it looks cool.
Of course I can make it look better by cutting the rears and installing fats all round!
