I'm in the middle of putting a 34 adm weber on the 202 in my LC. Just after some pics of one on a holden six, specifically, how the throttle cable has been mounted.
Mine at the moment:

Thanks for that mate, I'll go through the stuff I got in the shed, I should be able to work something similar out.

Another question, I have to relocate my PCV line to the inlet manifold as the strommy that was on it had an outlet for it and the weber doesn't. I had trouble today trying to get a fitting to screw in next to the booster line, just behind the carby in my pic.

I'm wondering if I can't get a fitting, can I put a T-piece in the booster line near the manifold and run the PCV off that? Will this affect the brakes or anything?

Cheers.

iv'e seen multi branch fittings in other holden oe manifolds maybe early commodore not sure. you be able to pick something up from the wreckers but be careful s the ones i've removed before where in there bloody tight(easy to break manifold)

Don't share the brake booster with anything if possible, especially something like a PCV which is not a sealed vacuum system like a dizzy advance line.

What is the blank off cap on the bottom left of the carby for?

If no joy then maybe look where the falcon it come off runs them.

Yeah I might have to if I can't get a fitting for mine.

Hi Terry, did you make it up to Toranafest? Didn't see you there.

No idea what that is blanked off. So if I can get the screw in piece for the connection on the manifold, will it be right running both booster and PCV off it?

Good idea bout checking a falcon, I'll see what I can find.

Thanks guys.

This is the connection in the manifold, that's the booster line on the right. Will I be right to screw a fitting in for the PCV hose (if I can get one) and have both it and the booster running off it?

Yeah I was there all weekend, I met some new people, seen some old friends etc but it is harder than you plan to get to see everybody, alot of people I knew was there but just didn't seem to bump into.

I think that block off might be for the PCV.

Small sealed systems like dizzy advance and gear box modulators are ok.
Remember the PCV system is a calibrated vacuum leak.

Ok, I'll see if I can get a piece to screw in and use the manifold connection. If not I'm going to the wreckers on sat anyway, and see if I can get another manifold fitting with an extra line on it. If that fails, I'll start looking to the dark side, and suss out the falcon set up.

And yeah, it's hard with all the people at Toranafest to just run into someone.

Running the PCV into the base plate or adapter plate would be ideal.

Yeah could drill a hole in the adaptor, tap it and run it off there. On the stromberg it ran off the base of the carb.
Might do that instead, got everything I need to do it at work.

Cheers for the help mate, I'll shout you a beer at Toranafest 2011 :spoton:

Just out of curiosity, before I drill anything, I'm sure I've seen sixes with just a breather type thing where the PCV is located on the rocker cover. Is this an option?

Also need to connect the automatic choke wire somewhere. Any suggestions?

Cheers.

If it had a PCV from factory then you may need it.

If you run just breathers then it will not be "positive" but the engine will still breathe...
You may want to install a catch can if you go this way, saves cleaning the breathers every couple 100km or so.

which end of the wire???

Yeah was just wondering. I'm going to the wreckers tomorrow for something, I'll have a look what he's got in the way of manifold fittings laying round as well. If not, drill it is.

The power end of the wire.

On the green plastic cover there is a threaded stud in the centre.
+12 Volts is applied to the when the ignition is on.

Don't forget the Idle solenoid. See PM.
