I currently own a 1975 LH Torana 4 door
Current specs are as follows
Paint- Formula Blue
Engine and driveline - Engine red 308ci stroked to 355ci Gearbox - Ford toploader with exedy race series clutch 3 inch tailshaft , 9" Diff running 3.55 diff gears, 120 Litre drop tank
Wheels - 15" Simmons b45s
Interior - currently empty
I have recently started to strip it down to start restoring it. I am only 22 and I am going to try and do the build my self and learn as much as i can. I am also lucky that i have some good mates in the paint and panel trades aswell as my old man being a mechanic.
Future plans are :
Paint - White , with silver bumpers, headlight surrounds etc
Engine and driveline - Enigne - Vs 304 block stroked to 355ci or 383ci Gearbox - Manualised TH350 , 9"running 3.55 Diff gears and fuel cell in boot, Twin 2 1/2" or 3" exhaust
Wheels - 15x 4 Weld prostars on the front and 15 x 8 weld prostars on the rear
Interior - Standard front seats retrimmer black with grey or silver piping, standard rear seat retrimmed black and custom autometer dash, black door trims and roof lining to suit seats.
Aim - is to have a tuff pro street looking lh torana.
Use - will be used on weekends, for car shows and events such as drags, powercruise, summernats etc
I have currently stripped out the interior and dash , all which is now bare metal, i have rust converted the slight surface rust here and there and about to etch prime the floor . I was pretty happy when i pulled the old carport out as there was hardly any rust in the pans.
I have also started pulling the front apart, bar, grill , lights etc
Pictures will be up of the progress so far , either this afternoon or later tonight cheers Ben
I will update thread as much as possible with pics , news etc, but my job as a Construction site manager sometimes holds up progress so bare with me cheers
Im open to suggestions and help as well as criticism and any advice you guys may imput.
