Franchise outlets setting their own profit margins
They are not all Rare Spares franchises some are just independent resellers that sell Rare Spares parts ,official Rare Spare Distributors use the Rare Spares name

Hello Les,
Here in Perth, the Rares Spares outlet, has a V.I.P night once a year, where we get 20% off on the night ( store wide I think ).
So my outburst was if the Rares Spares Across Australia were one, then possibly they would all be the same week maybe.
Anyhow, I am to find out the Dates of all other stores VIP nights for other Members. Dave I

Also it is nice to meet you Les, and if you could visit one on the night, there would be more people attending to speak with you about parts as well

Hi Les.
I purchased front and rear bumper bar rubbers from Rear Spares Brisbane South through their eBay store on the 22/6/14 and just fitted them up (only the rear at the moment) and they don't fit properly.
The problem i have is when you tighten the end it does not fit flush to the bar and sticks out.
Has this been reported to you before or am i just unlucky to get a dud batch.
As you can see with the first 2 photos the rubber has been tightened up and sticks out, pic 3 and 4 shows the reason it doesn't fit flush.
Do you suggest i contact Rare Spares Brisbane South for a refund now or do you want to look into it a bit further before i do.
Cheers
Mort

I have measured the mags and the hubs with a micrometer and a telescopic gauge and I have a difference of .007 of an inch bearing in mind this is a pressed component,my point is that I have bought theses caps that don't fit my wheels,I'm not going crook here I just thought if rares don't know this they should, why didn't I use the caps that come on the mags you ask, main reason being I liked the steel ones better, and one of the stupid plastic ones fell apart

Ok, got a call this morning from Edan at Rares in Melbourne and he said he has looked into it and found that they have put a little washer on the end piece be mistake that shouldn't be there and if i take it off (only superglued on) it should bring the rubber closer to the bar.
Job done, it doesn't sit 100% at the tip but is better than when i started.
It looks real bad up close but not that bad.
I would like to say a big thanks to Les and Edan for addressing this issue so quickly and getting it sorted so if anyone else has this problem they know how to rectify it.

Victor, it is in the pipeline. We have just received our first off tool sample of #9940862 which is the single piece front spoiler for LX excluding A9X. We will keep you posted....
