You TOO TOO!!!!,
Bloody pissed off as well. Haven't had a cold/flu for 3 years and when i've been lookin forward to something like this for the past 12 months I catch the wog on the same weekend (could kill the work mate who gave it to me, especially when he said "suck shit"). I got the last laugh though being his supervisor if you know what I mean. Nothing worse than having to drive 6 hours to a car show when you feel shit house. If it had been any other show I would have given it the flick. Don't mean to winge but I suppose it's human nature when you're sick.
Will try to make the most of it though.

RED, don't sound good mate, glad your over that one. Hux, know what you mean. This one is pretty mild, headed it off by spending a couple of days in bed. Feeling much better today, although car has yet to get a bath. In at work early, so I can leave early.

Take care, and see you TOMORROW!!!! Happy, happy Torana Day!!!!, which is way better than Happy Father's Day.

Well I'll be leaving shortly for the big 4 hour drive to Canberra. Torry's running sweet. After detailing her yesterday checked all over & the only thing I did was check the nitrogen in the tyres, which was just as well as the right front was done to 22psi & replaced the oil & filter, which was only 3500km's old, but shit she's worth it. Will ring Gerry tonight to say I got there ok. Otherwise catch up with the canberra boys tomorrow at the servo.

Will do Glenn. Weather is looking perfect. The Creek is gonna go off this w/e. Nothing but constant emails from the Canberra Crew this morning. Somehow I think the boys are excited, bit like Big Kev.

I'm gonna be there, and taking my dad too - got our tickets already!!

So who, apart from Greg, is racing? And who is showing?
Can we get some rego numbers or something up here so i know who to look for (I'll never remember all those different shirts - and I have yet to plan my wardrobe for that day!!)

I'm really looking forward to it....I actually think I'm looking forward to seeing the Group C cars the most - been watching them since a Kid, but first race meeting I can remeber going to was Amaroo ATCC when the first GTR Skyline raced (GIO Sponsored car)...Of course a full feild of XU1's will be pretty special too!

Any recomendations on the best spot to watch the racing - I've only been to the creek once before? And where is the best spot to park - left at the first roundabout, or right to go round the back?

....and how do you get into the pits? do you have to cross the track, or is there a tunnel somewhere?

Just look for < in the pit straight carpark. I won't be far away, although could be watching the racing.

To make it very easy to spot, might even pull the red fishnet stockings out of retirement.

Hey RED
I met up with Canberra boys this afternoon, caught up to them
on the M4 on their way to the XU1 Nationals at Penrith Panthers. Those
guys have some very sweet rides & wish mine was half as good as theirs.
I will catch up tomorrow with you all.

cheers keith

I checked out the xu1 nationals, loved the SMP XU1 & that burgundy lc gtr, only thing wrong with it was some bubbling of the paint on one of the 1/4 panels & those funny door handles on the door trim.

I still had time left before I had to go to work so I stopped in at Eastern Creek, got there just in time to see the L34's & A9X's racing & left after the the race with XU1's,Chargers,GT's & Camaro's,pity the v8s were drowning out the sixes for the first half of the race. That mustang was starting to lap the field. Also had a quick look around.

Hopefullly I'll get back tommorrow morning for another look before I have to go to work.It was great seeing those type of cars.

We just got home ourselves.. What an awesome day!

I got to catch up with HEAPS of people from the forum, It was great to put a face to some nicknames, and to catch up again with a few that i hadnt earlier!

Appologies to those i didnt recognise (Hux454! Sorry mate! LOL!), and appologies to those i missed catching up with! Next year hey!

The racing was great, the weather wasnt too bad considering the bad winds, and we got out just before the rain came over!

Great day, Looking forward to next year :)
