Well, Now Hamo,
You will have to get a Walkie Forklift and some Racking to get all things off the ground. Dave I
I reckon.
Weld a couple of brackets to bolt to the engine mount holes, a couple at the flywheel end & you wont have to strap it on.
Ill see if i got enough scrap metal.
Anyways today i figured after the bracing i would have it basicly finished but nope, can't find wheels like those anywhere so after painting the fricken thing and using the last of the paint on it i now have to strip some back and weld the things on not that its a big deal because the paint job was pretty crap but still, after sorting the garage out and packing everything away i have to get it all out again
Bent wheel
Other ones pretty stuffed too.
Bracing, running out of steel so thats what i used the stuff behind the pic is either to big or crap
The only paint i had, seems to be working ok, prob not ideal conditions for painting but the whole things pretty rough.
New wheels
I think they are a tiny bit bigger but thats no big deal. I had it 2mm out of square and spot on level

LOOK OUT THE SAINTS ARE COMMING THRU, ITS ALL OVER NOW BABY BLUE
anyways. After doing stuff the past few days (not much) i finaly finished the engine trolley today in the rain so thankfully i didn't zap myself with any power tools.
So cleaned paint off and did my best weld yet! lol
And another good one. The rest were crap again
Underside welded
Up side welded
It's a trolley again!
That frOcking hurt, protip next time wear your work boots even if they are soaking wet from the day before
dunno why i did this, figured i didn't want to scratch the sump i guess.
old vs new
So i dont lose it.
I know one is for the fuel pump.....I have no idea what the rest are for? Assuming the 6 rubber washer things are for the rocker cover and....thats all i know
Shiny
I guess 2 gearboxes must be heavy?
Not enough steel to make a frame to bolt it to so.....the old strap will do for the time being
pink clutch is an eye opener
Almost looks like a baby's pram with the hospital blanket on it lol
mmmmmm rain
So the tappet cover i wanted (same as orangelj) is no longer made so im still hunting around and i have no idea what i want now, the other one they make isn't to bad or ill go with just a black one

Now it'll only be stuck in the back corner of the panel beaters shed for 2 years before you drag it out and end up doing it yourself!
It all starts with "four or five weeks", Hamo
Board files, hammers and dollies are cheap! Get some tools and ge stuck in

Yea but i was on the waiting list mid last year and i was 3rd. Then all of a sudden i was next on the list. Then i was 5th, and its all over the place.
ANYWHO Dad talked to a guy in prestons yesturday and he seemed to be ok, I haven't seen the shop or anything. He restored the car on the cover of torana tough and has a website and youtube channel.

Looks tempting. Haven't decided if i will wait or not yet but from what i can tell this guy mainly does the older cars which is good but yea......No idea what im gonna do yet, might talk to him see how soon he can fit me in or something.

Got a pretty decent quote from alfio, he said give him 3 weeks notice so i might jump at that. I still dunno. Didn't think it would be so hard to pick a panel beater.
The local ones would be a lot easier but they seem to dick around to much and prefer the insurance work.

Anywho went to morris minor NATIONALS! YEAAA (it was local so why not)
Wasn't a bad turn out really, to lazy to get my camera out. One somehow managed to fit a bit holden comadore v6 in it which was weird.
lalala
Talked to dads mate from work then he talked to ray shelby then we talked to ray shelby then he suggested a panel beater in mittagong for us to have a look at. Also suggested another painter that is pretty cheap but does a good job (did some of his morris minors/ has 5 or 10 or 100 or so i dunno)
So check that out next week.
