Went to toy fest, weather held off which was good.

Got there a bit before 8 left a bit after 10.

Got a few idea's. No new colour ideas though which is good in one way cause ive narrowed it down to red or orange still atleast.

DSC_2007_zps02b0b524.jpg

Prob one of my fav engine bays. I like those manifolds being seperate than the full one all linked together. Kinda looks better IMO.

DSC_2006_zps1add58d8.jpg

Tappet cover was pretty awesome.

DSC_2008_zps10b0a3ff.jpg

Not sure if brand or what, didnt see anyone hanging around it to look like the owner but ow well.

DSC_2010_zpsf1511541.jpg

I was also toying with the idea of hiding the break booster somewhere but i didn't know where.

DSC_2009_zpscfad5def.jpg

(that is off another car, we won't mention what type of car on a holden forum) It is like that soo the pips can just go straight into the body rather then hang out in the engine bay.

DSC_2011_zps789d32a2.jpg

DSC_2012_zps1f563b6a.jpg

My fail attempts of getting a pic. The booster is hidden infront of the front wheel inside the guard. The bracket holding it there is bolted in the same spot as the bumper bar i think he said.

So thats a possibly idea for the booster eventualy. Still toying with the idea of ditching the heater box and all that crap too and getting something to hide under the dash.

DSC_2055_zps53a458b7.jpg

Annnd because the rare spares one i  got was pretty much a piece of junk to put it lightly, i got this from the usualy boys at muscle car parts.

Panel beater rang this morning, gonna send me the quote in email. Going by dad on the phone i might fall over so if someone can catch me that would be great.

Might see if i can do more on the door and if worst comes to worst ill sell it or try do it myself. Im not storing it in a shed for 10-20 years like other people have done. I don't want that happening it either gets done soon or it goes.

I think it was an xb one gtr, i know it was a ford x something.

No email yet.

But did a bit on the door.

DSC_2059_zpsfe86470e.jpg

So made the piece fit.

DSC_2060_zps12841a31.jpg

Just needs to be bent and a few more tiny bits grinded back.

DSC_2062_zps3d850664.jpg

First bend attempt kinda failed

DSC_2063_zps209c8f01.jpg

No idea how i did that, kinda cool if the whole door had a lip like that.

DSC_2065_zpsba79999e.jpg

Electrical taps underated.

DSC_2066_zps4ed7d217.jpg

DSC_2067_zpsc8d97096.jpg

DSC_2073_zps02fac037.jpg

Not to bad you can still see a faint bit of where i did that big lipd bit that ill prob have to bang out before i weld it in.

DSC_2074_zpsef6846ca.jpg

DSC_2075_zps4e09b48f.jpg

Just a few tiny wieny more bends to make.

Then i got dragged into redoing the kitchen. And after getting fed up cleaning the open garage for space to sand back the doors and things and them not throwing shit out like an old suitcase that is basicly rotten, and old gate that will never be used again, and a whole heap of worthless shit. I came back inside.

do a tafe course at nights and do it yourself in the shed hamo
they will teach you all the basics
or do as much as you can yourself to try and get the hours down
might pay to send mikecatts a pm on what he'd charge and frieght it over to his and back

Whats the best place to buy the filler/bog?

I know supercrap sells it but......Its supercrap. Dunno any other places around here might have to buy it online?

sooo.

DSC_2079_zps5d1c898f.jpg

mmmm

More junk yay.

DSC_2081_zps31a8409f.jpg

poped it in with my terrible welding skills

DSC_2084_zps01eced3e.jpg

My little bend ended up being half the thickness of the metal out. So i dunno if i should redo it or is that ok to skim over with bog?

DSC_2085_zps7e919e18.jpg

not too bad.

DSC_2086_zps471c6d53.jpg

So i put my trusty rule on the end of the door (end towards the engine bay) and the other end of the ruler sticks up this high in the air?

Whole door is like that so does the door tapper or is it just a really #@$^%& up door?

Annnnd turned the welder on to let the gas out before i went inside and nope i wouldn't start. So ill let it cool down and see if it works...............if not ill get the blame for that and im #@$^%& cause i dont have a welder. YAY WHAT A GREAT DAY -_-

Why not put out an eoi for your panel work on here hamo?

There's a couple guys who do it for a loving it hobby that won't be looking in your build thread.

I can recommend a guy up here on the coast that will be a shipload cheaper

Yea thats my plan. Kinda didn't wanna travel to far with it you know and keep it local so i can see whats happening and all that.

Basicly only 1 guy left local. Then i start moving further away.
Uncle couldnt recomend anyone in goulburn were he lives. So yea i might have to travel with it (mind you goulburn is 40min away).

There was one guy here that was dads mate or something that said 5k or something a few years back (when i first got it) but someone else had his car there for 3 years or something so might try him again not really sure to be honest.
There is one other guy in mittangong but he #@$^%& up one of dads older cars and got grinding sparks all over the window so.....yea he is in the bad books.

SO

After i find this other guys number i think he is in robo somewhere see what he says then sum up whats happening. But like i said i can't store it, i hate people saying they have cars intending to do them up and 20 years later its still sitting there doing nothing, im like on the home straight all i needs the body done and its basicly all ready to put back together!

RAWR.

But yea hopefully the guy in robertson is ok and still doing it (i think he was a hoby guy).
If not, ill rent a car trailer and go for a road trip.

There is a couple in picton and bargo too but i have no idea what they are like.

The last one (22k) said i can come and help to get the cost down but like....even if i help out twice a week i dont think its gonna make a huge difference i dunno.

Yea still picking my self up off the floor ice.
I'm not an expert or anything but that was a bit steep for me.

Mind you he seemed like the nicest and most keen guy so far really. He told me what he was gonna do how he was gonna do it and all that and actualy came and looked at the car.

but anyways.

Basicly doesnt turn on......i think it makes a weird ticking noise but thats about it.

hurrrrrrrrrrrrrr lifes tough.

http://www.unimig.co...1&subcategory=2

you got a auto one/pro or autobarn i think they call it over there?
they tend to sell the better brands of filler ie upol
but in reality that super crap stuff will do the job
otherwise try a autopaint shop on your travels
