For Lc Xu1 it is 3/4 of an inch from line in panel and inline with last flute?

What about on Bobtail. From what i could see was 3 inchs from paint on bobtail at what height.

Does anyone have info on paint on bobtail as in distance before black starts?

Hi all, just reading this post and determining the correct placement of decals for my 4/73 Adelaide Xu1.

So i'm looking at the pics of the unrestored 5/73 sunburst car Aldo put up.

The Guard Decal looks about 9mm up from the guard crease, also lined up with the front flute edge. The Bobtail Decal Looks 25 mm up from the Bottom edge and 110 mm in from the paint line/lip at the Bobtail side edge.

Why the difference in placement on LC to LJ anyway, and did placement differ from Adelaide to Brisbane built cars?

I think he was making the point that the placement was not an exact science. There is a GMH diagram for the placement - I would go by that. PM me with your email address if you need a copy.

Great info guys. Mines back from redpray soon so hoping for direction add to where and what stickers i should get? Won't say too much but it's going a newer purple so hoping fir advice as to what xu1 decals to put on! ! Did have black lettering with white borders on the previously black car, so not sure wether to ebay a set like that or try get someone to match paint and custom make?? Ideas? ?
