Yes you are right Garth . If you turn to Collie , go over the railway line then turn left straight away , do a u turn then park on the side of the road , this is the only place to park at the intersection and is a popular meeting spot for people heading up to Collie . As it will take me all of 2 minutes to get there i will try to get there early so just look for the red L J .
I was a bit concerned when i read that Gene was going to get from Byford at 730 to Roelands at 830 so a 900 departure time will be more likely . Still gives us plenty of time to get to the track before things get started . Which reminds me i should be in the shed now with some rag and polish .
See u all Sunday

Where the Forrest Highway hits Raymond Road (the road you see after coalfields turnoff) there is a massive carpark BHP put in
Gave him to pressure of driving the gemini on Sunday to, might take my old man's 66 Phoenix out there for a spin

Anyway had a great day and the hatch ran perfect all day .
I was kind of spewing i didn't go out for some timed laps of the circuit because it looked like alot of fun but i think you need to bring a trailer because if it breaks you can still get it home.
I was amazed how many Torries were there easily the most of any type of car at the show and it was great to see and hear them being driven hard all day.
It was great to meet some forum members and put faces to names .
I still don't know who won the Powerskid comp ?There was afew serious contenders Chris260 "SONIC" put on a good display that car is a work of art and is far from reaching full potential i look forward to seeing it on full boost.
Here are a coupla shots

Not the most exciting of vids but any skid is a good skid.......unless there is only one wheel involved.

That red LX with the black flares is a mates car... vy clubby manual driveline... still ironing out some racing bugs
I'm still going through my pics... will upload later.
Was very hard to take powerskid videos as they've made the fence alot higher
fatslr... PM me, the track is open for alot of private days of which i can get you invited if you want to run some timed laps, i usually just take the gemini out for some skid runs

Just to fill in a few gaps, Paul Morrisy (whit camaro) won power skid.
And does anyone know who was the gtr xu1 that got pinged by collie coppers for 163kmh going down rolends hill??
They let him off a few kmh to save his ass......dont want to see torry's crushed

The wheels aren't my cup of tea and I'd use black padding on the cage... or have it tucked up higher... but still nice

Yes , what a great day . Great to meet guys from the forum and see some great Torries .
Jay . Dont give up on your idea of a all Torana day . I think if the guys that were there on the weekend can put out the word on what a great facilaty we have down here we may be able to get enough people interested to make it viable .
The Yellow V8 LJ followed me down the hill , past the friendly officers at a sedate 65 MPH so it was not him who felt the roth . My wife who was a few cars behind us said it looked like the coppers turned around to stop a red car . It was not me or Gene as he left about 1/2 an hour before i did and there was no other red Lj/Lc Torries there on the day . The mistery remains .

Hey Garth
My torrie was in the shed Sunday, we done a cruize in it on Saturday and i worked at track on Sunday so left it home.
Plus it's all nanned up at the moment for engineer inspection, so its not at its best.(its a sleeper apart from bug catcher)
Few weeks hopefully and i can put all the good go gear back on it.
Haven't got a small enough pic at th moment to post and show you....i'll work on that
