Mounting B&M shifter with Dads new favourite tool. His nutsert gun.

Jay (gearex) from gear exchange specialists in smithfield have set up the diff with 4.11s and a mini spool, plus new seals and bearings.

Its really awesome (awzoom?) to be there and watch the kids enthusiasm with the project. Everything is spot on, they understand the concept of doing things once and doing it right and they are setting themselves up with something that many employers will love, being experience.

A lot has happened since last updates. Been wiring everything up, and buttoning the pieces together to make it run.

Was school holidays for the past fortnight and i think Dad spent 9 of his 15 days at the school.

But big progress!

Had no fuel in the tank, and need to plumb up a regulator at the fuel cell, but overcoming some wiring bugs had it kicking over! Very happy!

What are the wheels already on it?

Yeah they are Centreline fluted stars i think they are called. Dads had them for years on his old HZ Prem. Sold the car and bought the wheels back off the bloke 2 years later. Think he wants to hold on to them. Cant say no to new wheels though!

Yeah should have no issues.

Just had the auto eleccy back out to sort out idling issues. A bit of fiddling with a couple of plugs in the back of the dash and the car is now idling and revving like a champ.

Kids are stoked. Awesome to see the satisfaction in their faces when they see their hard work paying off.

Maiden voyage today. Took the Principal for a drive and he was absolutely wrapped. For 3 years he has supported this build and without him it wouldn't have happened.

If you arent following in facebook, the car will be debuted at Sydney Dragway next wednesday, the 20th of November. It will have the track to itself for media etc from 4pm-6pm, and will then be running in the race for real that night, so if anyone wants to come have a look, meet the students who have helped build it and the sponsors then please come out!
