This is where i,m at with the van, found bog in quarter, bit of a dint to knock out.

Prolley looks like not much done, but the yellow came off, then green back to grey and the red lead lastley,$4O paint stripper and a few cutting discs, the front Y frames were very rusty, the van shell is perty good, floor pans in front, and the rest in the chassis rail behind passange wheel.

Need to make a new rotisserie, alot smaller than the last one.

Hi romper,

the coon pictures were taken very close to the day i posted the pics,30th june 2012.

The car is in Tamworth N.S.W

Hi Dane,

Another enjoyable project,weeee.

Some may think i,m nuts doing this project, when Monaro,s lay around, but i,ve done to many of them, and I,m happy with the ones i have..I have a friend with a HD van, which to me is stunning,so i want one to.Have no spare money to buy one,so its being completely done by me,back yard style, hehehe. Also i,m enjoying the shaping of the different body lines ,no orbital tools shaping this old girl.

Scroll down the page and there is a picture of Ians HD van , with his son Craig driving.

HD vans are wicked,

Had a strange day today, went to buy a HD Prem at a sale, arrived to find a rusty peice of shit.So i thought the bucket seats would go good in the van,and console.Me thinks go $ 300 for the heap, first bid $500 plus gst.Frock it was a flintstone special and had been under water many times, only thing was it is a manual prem, which were rare, this was unrestorable, even the interior light on roof was rusted out.Anyways found a VW in the long grass so brought that home, not sure if its worth having?First forein car i,ve ever bought home.I,m sure ive seen hot roders turn these into split window. This shell has hardly any rust, probably case there is nothing left, hehehehe.

$550,he could of had it cheaper, cause the most i would have gone, would be $400, being excited with the auction thing. There was alot of people looking at it,but if you look at floor near the tunnel, your looking at the ground, look beside the carpet.Under the carpet was nothing, the Y frame at front was rooted where it attached to body. The VW is imack compaired :-))

Alot of my finds go south, that guy is building some nice prems, and that one was a pearler.Told him about it,2 weeks later he is on my doorstep with a car carrier, rust free cars are worth the traveling,a few days driving compaired to months of rust work.

I like that sloper also :-))

I got offered a '38 (I think it was '38) Sloper rod when I bought my '57 Chev back in the early 90's. It had a 307, TH400, HT front crossmember and usual such mods. It was a lovely car. He had to sell one of them and I chose the '57 - after all that is what I went there to look at! The sloper was either dark blue or purple. My mrs at the time loved it.
