Wow, my old man had a Chrysler Simca as his first car.

Thats great to find out what the hell they were,i had no idea what a Simca was.

Jacob, not sure if they were for sale,i dragged out the only holden there,or what was left of it.

Mick, makes it worth while if someone enjoys some of the things that interest me.

I wonder how many cars I need to bring home before I get that deal? I'd better start saving...........

Hi Stinga,

I really like the garden ornaments, but i don,t think i,d be able to convince the other half to have one the same, seeing there is about 20 cars out and about the yard already.

HK69V8,i think that is a Hupmobile, there is a picture back somewhere of one the same.

I,ll load some more pics soon.

Found and recovered this KE30 Toyota for my old man, hopefully 3 is enough now.

Enough of the Jap stuff, spent 6 buzy hours recovering a UC sedan for my mate. Not much meat to it, a LX owner must have already got the doors. Had to take diff wheels and stubbs to get it home but we got there even if it was not keen on leaving. Been where it is for 10+ years

Dropped into pub on way out to have my mate have 3 people tell him they owned toranas and another had an A9X. Normal every time have a Torana on a trailer somebody says they owned one or ask if its for sale. Very buzy 6 hours but loads of fun :)

Had a look at a scrapys yard not far from home today, alot of cars 100+. Few old HJ-HZ holden utes that if not saved will probly be off to china soon. Not 100% on prices but parts are for sale and some whole cars are too.

HX 253 aussie 4 speed.

somebodys ex project, was straight last time mate was out and yes the door had no rust inside and somehow glass was still in it.

not old but taken a mad hit.

cant save all ke30s for my dad :( his got enough thou.

ugly french car but would be for sale

rusty hj ute drivers door ok, will prob get front stubs off it.

HZ ute looked solid enough

old landy but looks like an owner has been found for it.

I'd be grabbing lots of bits off those utes, like bumperettes, fine spline banjo from the HZ, Grille of the HX Kingswood ute etc. Good dashpads, sunvisors etc are worth really good $. If you could grab that gold HX Kingswood ute for scrap value i'd grab it (it may be a Holden ute with a Kingswood grille). Good doors of these are worth like $500 a piece nowadays.

Is the hz fine spline banjo the same spline count as the lc/j fine spline axles?

While you blokes are talking Simcas, there was a bigger V8 model of those called the Vedette. Flathead Ford based I think, not a bad looker with fins and all.

The 4 cylinder ones in the earlier pix were the Aronde.

See what Wiki has to say on them:

I'll get some pics of the FB/EK ute that I've got out the farm... Started life as a pano, but grandpa needed a ute so he cranked the oxy up. Same deal, used the pano tailgate as the back window. It's actually relatively well done for a farm job!
